6000 miles, condition listed only as good. Doesn't Van Horn handle a lot of buy back cars?

That one will have Lemon on the title as it was a buy back. The reason listed for the buyback was an issue with paint on the hood I believe.

I really don't understand this... This is why pricing on GenV's will forever be confusing. This car is priced very well but it's because of a paint issue on the hood, yet there is a black TA in the classifieds in excellent condition for $88.5K but that car needed a full motor and transmission swap????

Agreed.
Geez, there was an "issue with paint on the hood" eh?
That's all?

Would the OEM warranty still be in effect on this Lemon buy back?

I guess most people don't care if any problem can be fixed under warranty but it would bother most people if the same problem couldn't be fixed by the dealer after 3 attempts and triggered a buyback regardless of how major or minor the problem was.

n' what does the "Lemon" title look like exactly?
Does it just say "Lemon Buy Back" or "Lemon Buy Back - due to bad paint on hood"?

Pretty much yes. I went and looked at an orange at they had last fall. Sales guy said they will only buy buy backs at auctions because they can't move a new one. Too much $$. I thought it was odd but pretty much all of their cars have been branded somehow.

I would be curious also, maybe a lemon owner on here will chime in. I think they make for some great deals for some people looking to save some cash. I considered them when I was shopping but I just couldn't justify saving only about 12%ish from a clean title. If they were $20k less then that would have caught my attention. It varies a lot case by case because there are some clean title cars out there that have been wrecked/fixed that look better on paper and have more value than a buyback with a little paint issue.

The title will not say anything about the problem. As for the exact wording on the title, The dealership told me as I inquired about this vehicle. The word "lemon" will be on the title.
They do have signed documentation about the problem , They sent it to me and I have since deleted.
They also told me the car was sent back to the factory to have the hood painted. Which would be good as Prefix would have repainted it.
I considered calling Dodge to have verification , but did not , as at the end of the day the "Lemon" being on the title would bug me and I believe hurt resale . Even though, the problem was minor IMO.
The remainder of the factory warranty is still in effect as well.

Thanks Mazak, need to know.

There is no reason to believe that the reason that the car was bought back was solely due to a paint issue. I have seen another car that I knew background on, and the buyback description did not cover the issues well at all. The published reason did not refer to the fact that the car had two engine replacements. Not that engine replacement is undesirable. Just saying that there is likely more to the story.
