Went for a great drive today in the mountains, 65 degrees and clear. When I got home and put it in reverse no camera. Nothing changed on the screen(always have the 5 gauges). Got into the settings and everything was normal. Is there a fuse for this? thanks

Check if your backup lights are working, if not, then the switch to activate them is probably not working and thus your camera as well.

My screen was blank, until I removed auxiliary cable that connects iPod

Backup lights are working good and I never use the aux. thanks for the quick input. I'll take it in after the new year.
Sorry to hear! Don't have any input but try and come to Aliso Viejo cars and coffee Saturday! I'll be there.

There is a fuse for the B/U camera.
My 13 did the same thing. Check the owners manual - it has the size and location. Mine is all covered up for the winter or I would take a look.
My only question was why the fuse blew??? - happened 2yrs ago and haven't had a problem since.

^^^^ Pulled fuse #37, looked new. Put it back in & made sure all other fuses were snug. Camera works! Feels good to be lucky.

Dirty connection I guess...
Sometimes dirty connections are the most fun.

It may still need a camera. To be honest they are not the best. I have replaced a more than a handful in trucks at work. And guess what part number Viper's share with trucks?

I've got a 05 Vert. I'm old with a stiff neck, any suggestions for an aftermarket backup camera? Anything that is Viper specific so I wouldn't have to guess about the installation? Thanks, Bill

Come on Bruce, give me a little help here. I'm having a hard time backing up in tight situations. If you are lucky, you too will get old! Bill

On my old Gen 3, I mounted a license plate camera, and installed a single DIN DVD deck in it, I'll see if I can find any pics. It was a pretty easy install IIRC, and stereo shop could help you out with it.

One of these decks would save cutting up your dash or using a flip out, as long as you don't mind the small screen size

This is similar to the camera I used:

And a wiring kit like this should fit IIRC:

Oh ya, and tell the stereo shop to hook up the blue amplifier power wire, or else the factory amp won't turn on.
