Well finally she arrived yesterday afternoon just in time to make my Christmas. As stated in other threads it had an auto form wing and front fascia mounted which were off within the first 30 mins of having the car in my possession (and are now for sale if interested) - also took off the silver stripes above the wheels. The car actually looked much better in person than I thought with the wing and splitter on but my plan was OEM+ so they had to go. Next up was dialing down the stock ACR coilovers to get out of 4x4 mode and I think I still have some room if needed.
Drove the car about 200 miles the past 24 hours and really love it- real muscle car feel and turns so many heads. This was a dream car as a kid and it feels good to actually own one. The rawness of the viper is phenomenal and everything I have read about (I have a street/track 996tt and they couldn't be more different). I generally don't keep cars long since I like to consistently change things up but for some reason I am not sure what would be better to replace this in terms of exotics at this price point - but never know.
Took a few pics today so here they are (still working on DSLR skills)
Cheers and Happy Holidays

Car looks really nice. Can't really tell from the pics but it appears that the Jay Leno chin extension didn't damage the paint. Drive it and enjoy it, beautiful car.

Thanks...Small rubbing on the passenger side but nothing drastic. May have my body guy touch it up but not sure yet.

Car looks good. Keep it out of the guard rails.

Hell yeah looks MUCH better! Looks like you were able to chop a bunch of ride height out of it and still keep some preload on the springs?

Congrats!!! Gen II ACR's are tough to beat, especially a 99.

Yep - in the rears you can basically max out the drop and still have preload - the fronts not nearly as far

What's the recommended ride height for a '99 ACR? And where should it be measured?

I think I am 27.5 rear and ~26 up front measured from floor to fender in middle of the wheel - ride is stiff but bearable - could go lower

Thanks. I'm curious to measure mine for comparison. There is a post in the HOW-TO section about cars outfitted with Dynamic Suspensions components that indicates the factory height is about 5 3/8" at the frame rails. I wonder if that's the same factory setting for a '99???

Great looking ACR!

Be careful on lowering and give Mark Jorgensen a call ( 1-800-889-1893 ). Had a lot of guys lower there Gen IIs and end up rubbing the inner fender liners ( you do not want to know the cost to replace ). 99 and early 2000s were the best ACRs , as they ran the Koni shocks back then. Whiners caused Dodge to switch after that as the Konis had a tendency to rattle a bit , but they worked killer on the track. Funny thing is they rattled on BMWs too, but no one griped. Function was great and the car was a lot of fun on a road course.

Bill is there a fix/remedy to inner fender rubbing or damage or just a limitation? I swapped out my OEM Koni shocks for BC Racing. I can't really chop as much fender gap out as I would like (with the ACR 18" BBS wheels) as the front chin spoiler ends up nearly touching the ground first. Fender liners look miles away from the wheel though. Is this front or rear that are the issue?

Chat with Mark J. but lowering the car to a point is not beneficial for overall handling and performance . Many lower it too much and then pay the consequences -- not just fender liners can be damaged. His number is 1-800-889-1893 or 402-677-2935 cell .

Thanks guys appreciate it - also thanks for the lowering information. I am nowhere near rubbing and won't be tracking so the g load won't get me there either.

Watch what Bill says: Be careful on lowering...handling will be a problem when too low.
There is a reason why the engineers set a certain height. Not for the looks BUT for the handling!

We have had some guys damage their oil pans also --- another good reason to not get overly excessive.

Ahh, so you got the one on Ebay in CA! I remember seeing it there for a while, and could see there was a great car hidden in there. Congrats, she's beautiful! I am a new owner as well in NJ, have a nearly identical '00 black/silver ACR...we'll have to meet up at some point! Oh yea, the car I had previously was an '01 996TT...weird!
