Gerry Wood has more than that at just his dealersup alone, lol.

I have noticed a seeming shortage on gen4 convertibles on the market.

I'm also in the market for gen 5 viper GTS. The one for $69k (red with silver stripe) is a buy back. The black one for $73k is also a buy back too. If the one for $69k wasn't a buy back I would be all over it. :)

Did the red one get a new motor ? What's its story ?

They're still around, dealers sometimes get lax on listing things right before Christmas. Everyone will re-up before year end to try and move units typically.

Soon, when the large bulk dealer 100+ orders hit the lots there will be more than 300+ available for a long time.

That would be nice. Price should drop once that happens.

Actually there are very few new Vipers out there, and true many have not been delivered , but the reason there is so much confusion is due to the FCA/ Franchise websites, which list every single incoming Viper - regardless of whether sold or not. That is one of the things that Autotrader picks up and causes a ton of confusion and calls. We have three custom GTCs in stock that we just got , but we have 4 ACR One of Ones also listed on the factory site since we have been invoiced. We do not have a single one of these ACRs available, but we get calls on them all the time , including email inquiries. We , and others, have asked for quite awhile to figure a way to not include sold sales on the FCA/ Dealer Franchise sites, but to no avail. Our actual site ( www.woodhouse.com ) shows the three new GTCs and nothing more .............

The supply of vipers is much slimmer than anyone ralizes. Just about every car we have in the production process, in storage or in transit is sold. Of the 141 we ordered, over 60% have been sold and many are still waiting to be built and are still in "D" status. It appears as thought FCA has finally got things in order and are building all sold orders first. We have found that cars we sell in D status get moved ahead of any other cars in D status.

Just because a car is showing on websites (factory, dealer and autotrader) does not mean it's available. Most are sold orders and are simply a result of a batch data upload of all VIN's of all brands/lines of cars.

If you want a car, it's a good idea to secure one from a dealer now. We have a good selection, as do many of the other big dealers. Whether you choose one our cars or one of theirs, get your name on it now. Waiting will surely recirculate the "I was going to buy one but..." conversations when people realize they really are sold out.

Let's just put it in context. While not confirmed, a realistic production number between 500 and 650 Vipers for 2017 is realistic. That's just 13 cars for state in the USA. They are rare. The death of the car is bringing out many buyers who've never had a Mopar vehicle (85% of our sales are to first time Viper owners!). It's less than 10% of the entire lineup of Ferrari production. If you think selection is small now, wait until they're all sold and you have to pick from the best of the used car market to get one.

The ACR is attracting a lot of new buyers not in the Viper circle. Including myself, I personally know four people (two of which have already received their cars) that ordered an ACR and have never even previously seriously looked at a Viper/Corvette or any American sports car for that matter in the past. I think the entire car community has a new found respect for this car. I'm very enthusiastic, and I'm eagerly waiting for mine. Thanks for the update.

FCA denies control of your own website:confused: How can they get away with that?
