How does it differ from the upgraded infotainment system? The latter raves about Bluetooth with uconnect, does the base stereo not have Bluetooth (for phone and music off mobile device)? Does the base setup not have a rear camera? Thought that was legally required now.

Rear cameras aren't required yet; unless, they passed a requirement after this news article was published back in September.

I believe rear cameras though are standard in all Gen V's. I could be wrong; but it's listed as standard on my TA.

Do all Gen Vs have a regular size USB port (looks to be by the driver elbow)? And is that just for charging or does is allow use of music, etc. from the phone through the stereo system?

I had thought it technically was becoming a requirement for 2014s and figured they would have just included it in the 2013s as well, but apparently not for base 2013s with base stereos.

Don't mean to hijack the thread - but any stereo upgrades for the SRT after you have the car? I find the base stereo in the 2013 SRT to be completely lackluster.

Agreed that the base 13 stereo is pretty weak I'm not sure how it compares to the base '14 12 speaker setup either.
But to answer the Bluetooth question, the base '13 setup has that. And the USB port transfers data (music) as well. I find that I like how my phone connects to the stereo better with the USB vs Bluetooth. Via USB my music has the album cover art showing but via Bluetooth it does not and a generic image is displayed instead.
One thing I really wish the USB connection would do is display the navigation directions from my phone. Mine does not have navigation so I use my phone, and it will interrupt the music and talk the directions to me but it would be nice if the display would also show the map. It should be possible with an App if they ever let people independently develop for it.

The USB allows you to control your ipod/iphone via the steering wheel buttons and the radio screen. I have the base 9-speaker, and it doesn't bother me. It isn't any worse than the gen 3/4 system. Both could use more bass.
