Just curious if anyone has removed the door belt weatherstrip before on a Gen V (item 6 in the attached photo). Its the one that is visible when you open the door and look at it from the side. Large rubber end with a few inserts.

I am gonna remove the window glass to epoxy the regulator clamp back on the glass. I would have preferred to keep the window on the car, but I think its too cold in my garage to epoxy while on the car (Toronto weather). The weatherstrip needs to be removed to allow the clamp to slide through while installed on the window glass. Reason why I am asking if anyone has ever removed it. Thanks.

i havent removed the weather strip on this particular vehicle, but i do remove it for a living when installing mobile electronics, and when working with pillar-less doors its insanely difficult

I would be careful. I noticed that my driver's side strip (by the door panel) has the slightest bit of a crack starting. In a 3 1/3 year old garaged car, that I keep the interior and weather stripping moisturized and maintained with high quality leather conditioner and trim products (Adam's Super VRT and Leather Conditioner).

Kind of bums me out. So be careful if you are removing it.
