Okay this is going to sound crazy but I was trying to find original style factory 5 gram wheel balancing weights. Getting ready to balance my wheels and all I can find is .25 gram weights.. I just want to replace mine with the factory ones . I know this is crazy and anal and it doesn't really make a difference, weights are all the same just diffrent sizes , but does anyone know where to find 5 gram Fe weights that look like the ones in this photo ... thanks for any feedback ...Skydeals

I learned a little more about wheel weights. There are steel ( Fe = iron ) , Lead ( Pb ) , Zinc ( Zn ) and others. Also stick on wheel weights are available in standard and low profile. They are also available in a raw material finish, chrome, and black. For some reason some are offered in sizes/markings of ounces and others in grams. Interesting.

I am not at your level of perfection. I just bought my cheap replacements at Harbor Freight for some that came off.

I've worked around tires for a while, never come in contact with a 5-gram weight before.

I guess for a monstrous wheel/tire combo (a la Viper), I can see the want for less weights?

A tad silly, though.

I never thought about it, since I never looked at them closely before. The ones that my tire guy always uses on my S2000 track wheels are 7 grams = 1/4 ounce each. That doesn't seem like a significantly different size to me.
