Well I need to buy a tire for my 2016 ACR.. it has a screw in the rear tire , of course I only have 200 miles on the car...I found Tire Rack has them for $369 plus $ 25 for shipping... Is this the best price out there ??? Wondering if the Viper club or VOA forum guys get a better deal somewhere ??..Do you guys recommend just jacking up the rear corner with a floor jack or should I put it on a lift to change the tire ?? Thanks for the help..... Skydeals ..Ralph

Thanks SK....
We can save you $20 off the TireRack delivered price.
And we save you the sales taxes in the many States where they charge sales tax.
But More importantly: If you replace only ONE used rear tire, you are creating a "Stagger". The NEW tire will be 1/32", 2/32, etc taller than the older, used side. This makes you pull to the low side on braking and even HARD acceleration.
Stagger is OK on an Oldsmobile, Buick, or pick up truck, but NOT on a race-car chassis! Consider, A mere .25PSI difference L -R creates a small stagger that helps a NASCAR turn left quicker.
Tread Depth Matters

The stagger point is correct but the dude has 200 miles on those tires. I doubt that any of the tread is gone at all unless all he did were burnouts and the like :D
Thanks SK....

I am sure Jon just missed the 200 mile notation , and no worries , you only need one tire.

Great advise...... Yes I spent good money on this car, and I just think if I don't have a brand new perfect tire to match the others I will always have the patched tire in the back of mind.... and yes my ACR has 200 very slow ,no burnout miles on it...I am guessing the tires should all match up with tread wear, so only going to buy one tire...Any thoughts on taking it to my Dodge dealer to mount and balance the wheel ??? Was not sure if the dealer is better trained to break that large wheel apart and balance it with factory tire equipment of if any tire store should take care of it... Of course I want it done perfect... Also I called Discount Tire to see if the could change the tire and they said they could but said they would need to replace the tire pressure sensor, or at least rebuild it with a new gasket or something like that..said anytime your break a tire off one of these the sensor could give a false reading if you don't replace or rebuild it..... the car has 200 miles on it... Was not sure if anyone else has had this issue or had to replace / rebuild at a tire change....Thanks for your thoughts on this... Ralph.. aka skydeals

Sounds like you chatted with a Discount Tire Dealer that likes to deal in false readings and what a bunch of crap that you needed a new pressure sensor. Tell him you decided not to let him pressure you into a false reading on price and you will be taking your business elsewhere.

Bill great point.. I figured replacing tire sensor sounded a little strange ....
I bet Discount Tire also offers rust proofing.

Yeah, I missed the 200 miles. Maybe he was autocrossing or tracking 200 miles?
You dont need a TPMS...you DO need a vendor you can trust. Hmmmm?
