Front fender wells

Has anyone discovered a good product to darken the composite in the fender well area? I like it to look nice and black. The surface just doesn't seem receptive to any type of silicone or blackening agent.

I have thought the same thing. I see where Mother's has a new spray on Black to Black for plastic surfaces. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I have used Griot's Garage Undercarriage Spray for the past several years. It darkens the black and makes a nice appearance for shows. I have used Griot's Garage Undercarriage Spray for the past several years. It darkens the black and makes a nice appearance for shows. Clean mine with WD40 then use the Griot's. Nice and black.

Mine is too, I just keep clean with Simple green, I think it is caused by heat. I am looking for a solution to this too, any chemical may have a reaction with heat.

Although MOST people ain't gonna go through all the trouble I do on certain subjects, painting the wheel wells with a quality flat black paint will keep you from having to spray stuff that attracts MORE dirt inside your wheel wells. But then I teach a class on "Anal Car Owners Bible to Being Anal." I wouldn't use a shiny paint though. That would make your car look like it spends all day on a used car lot.

ChemicalGuys BareBones undercarriage (also same as Adams/Griots)

CG Silk-Shine also works well for any kind of undercarriage areas without leaving a shiny greasy mess.

P21S Total Auto Wash also works REALLY well at just keeping everything CLEAN and natural looking.

Any exposed/raw castings/metals/clips etc can be sprayed with CorrosionX or Boeshield occasionally to leave a very light protection film.

I know this a very old thread but I think I mite be on to something. Even when My Gen 5 was new back in 2013 I had always though that the inner fender wells. Well looked chalky. Over the years I have tried many product without much success. Now that my car is seven years old and has over 50,000 miles on it. Those inner fender wells where looking even more tattered.

Tied of spending money on stuff that just didn't work I took a look at what I had laying around. This product I had to have been bought over eight or nine years ago for my old GEN 2. So I am not even sure if it's still on the market. This is what I used and the inner fender wells on my car look better than they ever have before.
