I didn't see it in the search results. Does anyone know the final number on 16 ACRs? What's the break down between regulars and Es?

A lot less ACR withoutthe E package than with. Most were built in the beginning when ACR orders opened up as the E package was not available right away.
But a literal viper shit ton of ACRE were built for 2016.

Going by the assumption that a ton of Viper equals a ton of shit on the scales (no disrespect to the Viper intended), give me one of those shit-ton Vipers! Just think what a 2000 pound Viper could do...
If we're looking at a shit ton as equaling 2000 of something - well, I kinda doubt that 2000 were built.

Under 400 out of the 680(?) 2016s built? That's why I say it's a lot. 60% of the years total production. No need for everyone to get their designer panties in a non aerodynamic bunch!

Went thru a tour at CAAP Monday, on their slide presentation they had the following numbers of all Vipers built for the 2013-2015 MY nothing for 2016 was posted.
2013: 643
2014: 867
2015: 786
Didn't have 2016 nor were they allowed to discuss MY 17 volume...its not the number of ACR but still kind of interesting on total numbers for those years. And I guess since I own a Viper I can let you know the amounts for each year.

Where is that data from? I wonder if the 185 "GTC coupes" includes GTC with the ACR package because 290 seems low to me for the ACR. Certainly the lion's share of cars ordered last year were ACRs but who knows

Only 36 2015 GTC cars, I wonder what the last VIN was. I know mine had to be close to one of the last because it shipped just as they were about to switch the line to 16's. I'd like to see the registry completed, kinda cool to see. It doesn't surprise me (or anyone) that the ACR production is so high. 90 GTC ACR's is pretty cool too. It would be cool to see all of them. Does anyone know if SRT tracked them all?

I would have to "guess" more than 2016 since there were 212 special edition ACRs alone. (I believe 11 of the 33 dealer editions were not made because Woodhouse chose to save those allocations for 1 of 1, leaving only 22 instead of the 33 initially announced)

Great thread. Congrats everyone on your purchases. I have kicked around the idea (and still am) based on some ACR-E on order by dealer. I would love to have THE record setter for the fun and pride.of.ownership but just can't see driving the E around town without tearing it up.... (extended splitter and rear diffuser). Are all of you heavy track rats, planning on buying it to store or are there ways to make it more practical to just drive with the thought of an occasional track day maybe once per year?
ViperJon
10-27-2016, 06:12 AM
You can drive it around town in full Extreme guise without tearing it up. I have and many others do. The rear diffuser extensions on mine have never scraped the road or bumps. The front splitter does protrude of course, but it doesn't make the car any lower. It is the same thickness and height as the mini splitter it replaces. I never take the rear diffuser extensions off. The only place my front splitter has ever touched is the end of my driveway where there is a slight dip and it just barely grazes. Other than that never. If you take inclines (like pulling into a gas station) at an angle its no problem. Those parts are "wear" parts anyway and guys are already making less expensive replacements than the ridiculous Mopar prices.

This question comes up every few weeks, poke around the forum and you'll find lots of opinions. For me, the ACR-E is exclusively driven on the street (for now), and it isn't an issue at all. I've owned several "street" cars that were more of a pain in the ass on the street than my ACR. But I do live in FL with relatively good roads, and I don't have the Extreme aero installed.
As I've said several other times on here, the biggest issue with driving the ACR on the street is finding a place to park it, and remembering not to pick your nose while you're in it.

Totally agree with others here. I have zero problems driving on the street in track stance and setup. Chances are if you have an ACRE, you have also had other "special" cars. Apply the same caution to driving style and locations travelled to and it simply will not be an issue.

A rare beast it seems then the Gen V ACR. Maybe a few lost to attrition so lets call it a round 950 left....Anything under 1000 in todays terms is classed as limited that's for sure...

A couple of interesting notes is (1) there are more 2017 special editions than GTC ACR's; (2) I wonder how many of the GTC ACR's were custom colors; and (3) I wonder how many of the total 973 ACR production is ACR vs. ACR-E.
Do we know if FCA will ever release the detailed final production info? I thought they did in prior years. I know with Corvette you can see every permutation of any model year.

Based on IVR, 3,911. But once again, not sure how accurate it is. My guess is it’s at least close.

If these numbers are accurate, that means 25% of all Gen V were some sort of ACR variant. Pretty crazy given it was only produced two years.

Me too - I sat and waited for news of the ACR for years. I thought the Gen V was absolutely beautiful when it was first unveiled, the first thing that went through my mind was "when is the ACR coming out?" At first, I was freaked out that the ACR was going to start at around $200k with the way initial pricing was set, so honestly I just stopped paying attention until I heard that prices came down, and then the TA came out. If figured the TA was going to be the precursor to the ACR, so that's when I started getting excited. Doesn't surprise me at all that the ACR was a huge seller. If they brought it out earlier, there would be a LOT more of them out there.
