All.

I am wondering if anyone has heard of or experienced this issue. I have noticed a noise upon clutch release the last two times I have driven my car. The noise / squeal only happens after the car has been driven 30 plus miles and is warm / hot. I don't feel any clutch slippage. I have about 11K miles on the car and am the second owner so I can't say how hard it was driven / abused the first 7k miles. I am very easy on clutches and on other manual transmission cars I have only changed clutch plates when it came time for a timing belt or water pump change so I am used to getting 100K miles out of a clutch.
To better describe the noise it almost sounds like the belt is slipping. its that kind of squeal and it does go away once RPM's are over 1200 and the clutch is fully released.

A clutch would never make a squealing noise, could be power steering pump, engine speed changes with clutch engaged/disengaged and certain speed could be activating squeal at power steering pump

Sounds like it could be the throwout bearing starting to go.

Yep a dry throw out bearing will squeal like a pig.

I was thinking it could be the throw out bearing. It if it is the throw out bearing how does one get proper lubrication to it? Obviously the transmission will need to be pulled to replace the bearing, but what would prevent this from happening again?

ahhhh yeah throw out bearing, slapps forehead*I thought he may have been referring to pressure plates only.

1. There is also a pilot bearing that could be the issue.

2. The throw out bearing is attached to the trans and it cannot be lubricated.

3. If the throw out bearing is bad, that is not a common problem.

My clutch makes this squealing / chirping noise but only when I am shifting at WOT. I've inquired about this before on the forums and with my Viper Tech but neither have found it to be unusual.

This happens only at launch and only after the car and all associated components in the engine bay are warm/hot. I am wondering if the belt is going bad and the drop in RPM on an easy launch is causing it to slip.

Any mechanic can tell you if it comes from the clutch or serpentine belt
