Hi guys,

I know there has been some heat of Gerry wood of late for order a ton of GTC Vipers. But I have really nothing bad to say about their service for a guy like me who simply bought a car from Taiwan over the internet without knowing anything about them.

my contact was Travis Williams and from the get go I felt everything but smooth and fast service! I was looking for a Viper ACR-E in September and just googled for ACR's for sale little did I know Gerry Wood Dodge popped up. I had my friend in LA making the initial contact for me and the rest was just emails back and forth. 1 month later I flew into Charlotte for a wedding and to pick up my 2017 ACR-E the team there helped me set up my car(I had some suspension settings I wanted to try) answered questions and I was pleased!! here are some photos

little did I know the wedding i'm attending is in this place called Beech Mountain, so I proceeded to drive based on my GPS and I must say what a stretch of mountain/canyon roads!!!! and this is coming from a guy with his first purchase of a true raw American performance car! and what a road it was, a great place to get to know my new toy! here are some thoughts on the ACR-E

Aero is noticeable especially as speeds!
pedals are slanted towards the left side of the car (I still need to get used it)
throttle response is much faster and direct then I thought it would have been
Clutch engagement I did feel could be better, maybe the pressure plate needs an upgrade
steering feel AWESOME
brakes speechless
all in all I love the car! I love how true of a car it is and it will be something that we won't see in the future and that is a very sad thing for me to say.

http://i1095.photobucket.com/albums/i473/eugene-taiwan/78924DF8-22AC-451C-926C-E78E897939B3_zpsstywx9ah.jpg (http://s1095.photobucket.com/user/eugene-taiwan/media/78924DF8-22AC-451C-926C-E78E897939B3_zpsstywx9ah.jpg.html)

so after my long drive the car did get a bit dusty, and I had to catch a flight back to Taiwan on Sunday so I didn't drive my car back! I had my friend drive it back for me. And I didn't know they gave the car back empty!!!

So Travis who helped me with the purchase of my car was kind enough to add some gas for me gave a bath and now she is ready to be shipped to LA where i will store the car

just got this photo in a couple of hours ago, and since I'm on jet lag I decided to share my experience and hope many more viper car fans will have the same experience that I got from Gerry Woods.

Congrats!. A tip on the pedals. Get narrow shoes. Normal shoes are too wide and conflict with the pedals. Night and day differance

Beautiful car, Eugene! Glad you got to enjoy it on some exciting roads.

Concerning the shifter feel, it is due to the fact that you are literally shifting the mechanism itself, no cables involved like a Porsche or Corvette which have their transmissions in the rear of the car (transaxle). You probably noticed that the center console is fairly wide. That is due to the transmission literally sitting right there.

Here's a photo of your generation of Viper's powertrain (notice the shifter still on the transmission):

Corvette ZR1 (C6) chassis for comparison (number 6 is the engine, number 25 is the transaxle):

Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997.2) cutaway (notice how far the shifter is from the transmission):

Sweet pics and explanation. Eugene what an AWESOME color combo. I think that blue is one of the nicest colors on the gen V and honestly any car. I've always been partial to that hue of blue. Love how the black works with the blue. In time you will find clutch engagement to be perfect as is the gear engagement. Pedals may take some time to get used to but it's no biggie. I'm admittedly no heel toe shifter but I do find the pedals to help Rev matching on downshift. Enjoy m8.

Congratulations! Glad you got to drive the car before flying out. i've always like the this color I don't know why it took me that long to pick up one

Congrats!!!

Nice to hear some driving impressions colors are great for the ACR.

Im 6 1 any issues with the seat - was thinking about installing different seats even though there is a lower seat package.

Enjoy! I don't think you will need a seat change, I do feel that I can use a seat that holds me better, with all the grip the car generates. but 6'1'' is fine

Congrats!. A tip on the pedals. Get narrow shoes. Normal shoes are too wide and conflict with the pedals. Night and day differance I got some heel toeing action in the mountains to I didn't kinda got a handle on it but again its the only car that I have that are like this. sometimes i step on the gas pedal first when trying to start the car.

Comp Blue ROCKS. See Aviatar. Love it! yep

http://67.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ljtulww36i1qbbntao1_r1_1280.jpg wow I didn't know that! I did feel some heat from the neck of the shifter and I was wondering why? but now I know

What a fortunate thing for you to be able to drive an ACR immediately after purchase on some awesome roads!!!!! No mountains here in Florida!

Are you going to keep the ACR here in the states or eventually bring it overseas?

Are you going to keep the ACR here in the states or eventually bring it overseas? I will ship it back to Taiwan hopefully before the year ends but I will be going to Sema and I will drive my car down to Vegas and enjoy it a bit more before shipping it out.
