Hey just wondering I installed my splitter this weekend everything went great but a question if you look at these images what is the small round metal ring at the bottom that has a set screw in it I'm not sure what this round circle ring with the set screw does. One of my set screws was missing so I don't know how crucial it is to get another one .... please tell me what this piece of Hardware is for that has the set screw in it at the bottom of the base before it is attached to the splitter... thanks everybody..Ralph... Both of my set (grub) screws are missing. I assumed they were not included. 5800 miles with no problems.

Well... any idea what that round circle doughnut with the set screw is for... I cant figure it out... The set screw would be to lock in the round metal doughnut so it doesn't turn, but I cant figure what purpose it even has, especially since some of you guys did not have the set screw in yours as well....any thoughts ???

It just makes the support more rigid. Does not seem to be critical.

Ours set screws were there, but then vibrated out. Bought some replacements, locked them down with a dab of blue lock-tite. They have not budged since.

This is funny. Mine came with one set screw and I bought a replacement for the other side. For the life of me I can't figure out the purpose.
