I have searched the manual. What the heck does it mean? It's a brand new car, surely it isn't sick.

No it doesn't. It looks exactly like a stethoscope. I read through everything that even remotely referred to the instrument panel. Nada. Ill take a picture of it tomorrow and post it.

I think that I found what you are looking for. Take a look at page 140 of the 2017 user's manual. Paragraph labeled "Diagnostic Codes"

Isnt this the menu that allows you to read your codes (if any)?

The stethescope icon in the instrument cluster is to put the car in diagnostic code. It scans the system for any active engine codes so you can easily diagnose a problem without having to hook up an OBDII scanner. Not all the codes are eligible to be displayed there, but most will.
