My 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty has expired. My dealer said that the powertrain warranty is 5 years. Is engine and PCM issues considered 'powertrain' issues or do I need to search for an extended warranty? I was given several different answers to this question!! Where do I even begin to look?? Thanks fellas.

If you get the FCA extended warranty (bumper-to-bumper) everything is covered with exceptions (clutch brakes rotors a few other items), any powertrain warranty issues will be covered under the original manufacture warranty until it expires and if you get a long enough extended warranty, it will pick up where the original manufacture factory dropped off. Hope this helps, but double check. With the extend warranty all non powertain items will be covered.

I know on my gen3 my PCM went bad after the bumper to bumper was expired and they covered it and replaced it. Of course that was a kinder and gentler Dodge.
