I'm worried about rocks coming up through the ducts and damaging the carbon ceramic rotors driving on surface streets to get to the track.

Or do I need to buy a trailer?

You could put tape over the duct if you're concerned.

That's what I needed! Great idea. Thank you.

There was a conversation back in Feb about covering the front with a mess material.

Black; high density/closed cell foam blocks cut to "stuff" into the front mouth/air inlet would be choice.

May be better than tape, tape can come loose and get blown into the rotor and rocks will adhere to it where as plugging it off would prevent both.

Is this really an issue? I have mine installed on a street only car. From looking at them I have a hard time believing they would suck up much hard debris and deflect it into the rotor.

If you are worried about rocks getting in there on the street, wait till you get to a racetrack where speeds are much higher and there are plenty of rocks/dirt from people going off and driving back on the track.

For now I am not putting mine on.

I can tell you that rocks will get in there regardless of if you have the ducts on or not. My rims were scratched from rocks and debris getting behind the calipers in the first 500 miles that I had my ACR with no brake ducts. It will happen eventually at some point.

So Chris do have the ducts installed? And do you drive it on the track?
