Just trying to figure out exactly what I will lose out on if I order the ACR interior package vs not ordering it. If I wanted the demonic red seats, is the only way to get it by not ordering the "ACR interior package"?

If I order it then I can get the CC Brakes included in the deal,
Includes standard carpeting, noise vibration and harshness package, and 12 speaker Harman Kardon system (but don't I have this with the GTC already anyways?)
High-Grip Alcantara/Leather Seats (Black with either Silver or Header Red Accent Stitching) (no option to go with red seats?)
Manual 6-Way Driver & Passenger Seats (so you lose out on the power driver seat)
Alcantara Wrapped Steering Wheel (So I wont be able to have the mark at 12 o clock on the steering wheel I guess), and Id have to have the leather wrapped wheel instead)
ACR Console & Instrument Panel - what is this ?
ACR Door Trim Panels (im assuming this is the checkered flag design)
ACR Floor Mats - can i order this separately?
ACR Badge - don't all cars that have an ACR package ordered have the badge anyways?

What else will I lose out on by ordering the ACR interior package?

It looks like If I don't order it I would have a power driver seat, leather wrapped steering wheel, option to pick demonic red seats, already comes with the 12 speaker stereo, anything else I am missing?

Do most people that get the ACR go with or without the ACR interior package? Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

The 12 speaker stereo is not the Harmon Kardon system

IMO the ACR interior is a no brainer, not only because you get the $8500 carbon brake setup for free but also the sweet door panels & steering wheel that only ACRs will have.

Problem is then i cant get the demonic red seats. but I do agree it is a nice money saver. and it looks like you can still upgrade to the 18 speaker HK system as well. guess it really depends how important those damn seats are!

so there are two different 12 speaker systems ? HK and non HK?

No, The 12 Speaker Is Harmon Kardon Speakers

You can easily add the additional 6 speaker to the 12 speaker systems for a fraction of the $2000 cost on the window sticker.

If you play around with the configurator on drivesrt.com, you will pretty quickly see what you do and don't get with the ACR interior. I spent hours with the thing (had nothing better to do) because I really wanted some specific things (the base ballistic nylon Sabelt seats, for example). So, I configured one car with the TA interior for that purpose - but then I lost all kinds of other things (the CC brakes, for example). Reconfiguring the car to have what I wanted got too expensive, so I went back to the ACR interior.

Pretty sure the ACR interior won't allow you to get the demonic red interior - I think you need to go with one of the other interiors for that. No biggie if you don't necessarily want the CC brakes (which some people don't due to the ongoing maintenance cost of those things - the iron brakes work just fine for 99% of the use cases) or are willing to shell out the extra $8500 to get them.

My understanding on the stereo is that the 12 speaker system is Harmon Kardon, and the amp is the same as the one that comes with the Harmon Kardon "premium" system. All you need to do to upgrade to the 18 speaker system is add about $600 worth of Mopar standard parts kits and you're done.

What ongoing maintenance? They last a long time on the track and indefinitely on the street. The stopping power is phenomenal and they have no brake dust. Not to mention good luck trying to resell an ACR without them in the future. IMO they are an absolute must have. Any other option you can do without or add yourself easily. (carpet, upgraded radio etc).

That's what I felt, too - but when I was ordering my car, I was told that "some people" are opting for the iron brakes because they were afraid of the ongoing costs. I'm somewhat ignorant in that area - but I got the CC brakes for exactly the reasons you noted. Also, they don't rust - which drives me crazy. Where I live, it's cold/warm and humid during the winters, and just a few days of sitting idle will leave a layer of rust on all of my brake rotors.

Tending to sway that direction and just being okay with the black seats

If you are going to track the car, I would get the ACR interior. The seats will hold you much better and are lighter. If you want want an ACR for the streets that looks cool get the demonic red you want. I don't think people will see it as a true ACR without the CCBs and the interior.

Some people are passing on the CCBs because you limited on tires that will fit the 19 inch wheels up front. There are some after market 18s that fit the CCBs but they can be expensive. Steel rotors give you more options with more than enough performance for most mortals. It's all about operating costs if you are going to track the car a bunch.

I thought about going with steel, but just couldn't do it. I had to have the car I was reading about in the magazines.

I wanted the red seats also, but opted for the ACR interior. The feel of the alcantara is amazing and you would lose that. Just get an extra set of red seats down the road.

You can always get the seats recovered in any color--Dave

One problem to keep in mind is that ACR seats are also manual and have no memory. Huge PITA if someone else has to drive your car and adjust the seat. Last time i did it it took me half an hour to find my previous seat position. Now I count notches on the manual recliner.

Martin, if you're trying to fit a budget and skimping on what you really want you'll be disappointed with it. Get the #@@#@!~ ACR the way you really want it. The hell with a budget and never look back. It's only money.
