Right up front I want to point out that the title in the You Tube video was meant as a joke. That's my friends GT beside me and we made about 6-7 passes down the runway at the GA 1/2 mile event and we were never more that 1 MPH apart. He did win 4 of the races but not by as much as I expected considering his car. Mine is basically a stock Viper with Gen 5 intake and Corsa 3" exhaust, his has pulley work for more boost, exhaust work and a tune. It was a great time, lots of Vipers there including a few TTs.

I have a Arrow PCM but no headers, head or cam work done to it. I ran 156+ in a lower elevation. This was 4000+ above sea level.

Where in the heck were you in Georgia running at 4000+ ft. elevation , since the highest Incorporated City is only at 3200 ??? Just wondering as not a lot of higher elevations down South.

LOL, apparently we were flying about 1300 feet in the air, I looked it up and it's around 2700' ASL. I guess I can't believe everything that people tell me. We were at Wannagofast event at Heavens Landing in Clayton GA.

Well , being born in Florida , you understand us Southerners do tend to eggagerate jest a bit! Thought maybe it was 400 ft, since that is high for folks from Gatorland, hehe.

So true, I think my house outside Orlando might be at 20' ASL, I have a hard time breathing just going downtown Orlando and going to 10th floor of any building. I was told "slaughter" was a bit of an exaggeration in the you tube video, I was going to go with "Totally stock NA Viper annihilates heavily Modified Ford GT in 1/2 mile" but that kind of sounded like I was bragging LOL.

The DA was over 3500 for the day, so the car performs as if it is at a higher elevation.

Did you run yours Saturday? I didn't get to watch much as I was stuck in the line.

Hopefully the weather for the Indiana 1/2 mile coming up on 15/16 October holds...I only signed up for Sunday, so it's a bit of a gamble. I have very similar mods to what you have done, so I'm curious to see how mine stacks up. Whatever the outcome, I'll post up the results and *hopefully* some good GoPro footage. Still not sure where I'm going to mount it, but leaning towards having it beside me in the car.

The fastest NA car at the GA 1/2 mile was a 2016 Viper at 155.27 MPH, not sure of any mods he may have had done. My fastest run of the day was 152+. I say move the GoPro around and get some inside/outside footage on the various runs you get to make. It's always a gamble on the weather when you're only doing 1 day. I was lucky and picked the right day as Sunday was rained out in GA I heard. Good luck and let us know your speed.
