Hi all,

Is there a caravan driving down on Friday to the US 41 International Dragway, 2695 West 50 South, Morocco, IN 47963

Or are people driving down the night before?

I'm on the Northside of the city.

Thanks,

Jay K.

My summary.

It was excellent.

The End.

That was the short version!

I had a great time once I got there after using a goofy route via Google Maps.

Immediately was greeted by Roger Dittrich and excited as this was my first ever tripp to an actual drag strip.

I've been in drag races on the street as a passenger *allegedly* and this was a whole new experience.

The driver's meeting convened shortly after arriving with a great tutorial by the employees who worked there.

As a "first timer", I made it a point to ask many questions and learned about deep staging, the standard tree & the pro tree.

The staff were very accommodating and ready to get people out there and racing.

There was president Rob taking pictures, Gary Grube & his cars, Howard Frank & his, as well as Kim and his dark blue car too.

I met others great people there and one gentleman in particular named Dennis (who had the Nissan Godzilla) taught me how to cut the light at the tree.

His advice would prove invaluable.

The highlights from yesterday were I cut a best reaction time of 0.111 and a fastest 1/4 mi. time of 13.4 sec.

On the way home, I ran with Gary, Howard and another gentleman who's name I didn't get but appreciated all the same.

What a great group of people participating in a great event.

Thank you again Roger for hosting!

It's a great group of people there. All the folks you named, and so many more you will meet, are profound folks. They will go to the mat for you and are the type of people you benefit from having in your life. My fondest memories and friendships are from the IL region who added so much to my life and to my car ownership.

Glad you had a great time. You'll have many more I'm sure!

Thanks Alex!

I remember most of them back when Bill S. was running the show out at Fuddruckers.

They're the same great people today, too!

Happy New Year,

Jay K.
