FWIW, My Gen II alternator recently started flaking out in me. So i ordered a new OEM unit thru the VPA website. The part shipped out immediately and fitment was spot on.

Agreed. I've never had anythig besides a great experience. Just recently I needed tires so I called on Tuesday and they were there by Thursday. Impressive!
