I don't know how many of you will be interested in this, but WannaGOFAST officially announced last night that the newest location for their 1/2 mile event will be held outside Austin in July this year. Here's the "official" announcement:

OK Everyone........after several months of hard work we have finally secured our most incredible location to date..........at none other than the World Famous Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay, Texas!! Located only 45 minutes outside of the great city of Austin, TX!!

We will be hosting our signature Heads Up, 1/2 Mile Shootout on their very own private 6000ft runway at Horseshoe Bay Resort!

Now you can play world class golf, championship tennis, ride waverunners, go water-skiing and have a 5-Star dinner all while RACING your car at the same time!!

Checkout the resort's website at www.hsbresort.com. The host hotel will be the Horseshoe Bay Marriott and all participants will receive a very nice discount..........not too mention the hotel is only a 1/2 mile from the airport.

This event will be held on July 12-13th, 2014.........a perfect time of year to have some "High Speed" fun and enjoy all of this resort's incredible amenities!!

Registration will open up in early March and sponsors will be announced in the coming weeks!!

Blake, the owner, is a good friend of mine and I actually help put the events on, so I will be there as well. Pricing:

Drivers:

$195/ea (per day) in advance before April 11th, 2014, or $365 for a 2-day pass.
$225/ea (per day) in advance after April 11th, 2014, or $425 for a 2-day pass.

**To register as a "Driver" for both days simply click on the "2DayPass" Option in the drop down menu.

All Driver's will be treated to a private catered lunch!

Driver’s you must Pre-Pay Online!

*There is no limit to the number of passes you can make! You will only be restricted by the turnover time that each runs takes.

Spectators:

$20/ea, (per day) or $30 for a 2-Day Pass.

Spectator Parking:

$10/ea (per car, per day) for non-hotel guests. If you are staying at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Hotel then event parking will be free! A shuttle service will take all spectators to the airport from the Summit Rock parking lot. All illegally parked vehicles will be towed!

The event is limited to 125 cars per day, no motorcycles
All driver’s will be required to wear helmets for this event.
We take cash only at the gate for spectators.
Spectators must provide their own tents and chairs for this event.
All speeds will be recorded with a dual-lane speed trap system.
