Hey guys! Anyone have much experience with buying a car in Canada? I'm in MA, just wondering how difficult this could potentially be. I just bought another SRT-10 Ram about 8 months ago from WA and that was enough of a PITA but that was partially due to the lien that I had to pay off for the seller. Outside of getting a car into the states and paperwork how much of a pain is it to change all the gauges over to mph, miles vs kilometers, psi, etc.... Also is there any way to shut off the fog lights? Thank you in advance.

Paperwork wise it should be pretty easy. All the info would be on your border services site. For gauges there is no requirement to switch them over, and most cars now have digital ability to swap between imperial and metric, but you never mentioned what year Viper you are looking at?

The DRL's that your absurd regulations refuse to require, can easily be disabled with a dealer computer in a minute or two.

There is a lien on my 2014 GTS, black on black, Red Seatbelts, leguna interior, HK stereo, Corsa exhaust, MGW race knob, Suntek'd since day one, only 10,000km(6200mi). Broke in correctly. Have the TA 1.0 rear spoiler, and TA2.0 front splitters that I could let go with the car for the right price. Lien can easily be taken care of, and car could even be delivered right to the border for you.

I haven't listed the car yet, but if you're interested in knowing more feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll give you my number. I'm the event co-ordinator for the Western Canada region and been a well standing member for years now. So I'm a known person and people can vouch I'm not a scammer.

Just be aware that your Chrysler warranty will be null and void for cross border purchases. Honda and Chrysler (FCA) are particularly brutal about it. FCA does allow for warranties to be valid only if you personally move across the border for relocation and import the vehicle (see the customer connect link).
