I've had this problem pretty much since I've owned the car with 1.8k miles. It's an '09 SRT-10 Viper coupe. Any time I rev the car or get on the throttle hard, the lightning bolt symbol pops on and I get the code P0369 for cam shaft position sensor intermittent - bank one. It throws the car into limp mode until I turn the car off for a few minutes and restart. Sometimes when I restart the car it has no problems running full throttle and high revs. I've replaced the cam position sensor twice now with OEM parts and still the same thing. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I read for someone else it turned out to be a bad fuel injector, but I have no idea how to test and single out a bad injector.

I read into the code in general. Wiring appears to be fine. It might be the year old Napa battery just not putting out what it should. 12.6 volts at the battery. The gauge in the car reads slightly less than 12 volts after a load is drawn.

New Red Top battery installed. Still getting the same code after clearing it :(

Once upon a time at a VCA event... I saw a car with the same fault... it wasn't the sensor, but the pigtail to the sensor. The tech that fixed it mentioned that it was pretty common at once point that the female terminals of the cam sensor were "spread". He picked up a connector repair kit from Mopar, and the issue stayed gone. (wrote the repair part number down in case I needed it someday... 05183453AA But have your dealer check that is the right kit)

If it is spread terminals, that is why it works under lower speeds, and shows up at certain rpms, or certain loads due to vibration I suppose.

I sprayed the female plug with electronic cleaner and coated both male/female sides with dielectric grease. In addition, I think part of my problem was not pushing the two together hard enough. I pushed the cam sensor until it clicked and still got the same code even after cleaning the sensor. I pushed harder the second time and got a second click from it. After the second click, I was surprised. Cleared the codes and was able to rev the engine. Did that a few times without any issues. Seems like the problem is resolved.

Glad to hear that helped! This seams to be the only goofy issue with the Gen IVs that pops up from time to time. Cam sensor back of engine under intake?
