Hopefully i am not breaking any forum rules, but wanted to let people know, that the dealer i ordered the ACR thru has a brand new GTS for 90k. It's listed for more, but they'll take 90.

Well it's a 2014. I'd hope they would take 90. Assuming recalls are done its OK but nothing smashing as we are gong into 2017 cars now.

Funny you just posted this. I've been looking around at some of the brand new left over inventory. My biggest question would be on the 2013 and 2014 models, how could they ensure you that the car passes the R28 recall if there are no miles on the car yet? I'm not to sure many people are going to opt to take the risk. I am literally laughing to myself just thinking about it, could you imagine buying a brand new car already knowing that there is a decent chance that the motor is going to need to be replaced.

That's my question. Could they even have the abilty to do the R28 if it needed it per the Vin#?

Good point I don't know. That's definitely an interesting situation. Either way I'd be hesitant for more problems just because it's sat still for a few years. Tough car to sell

There is one that has my eye though. I love this car but it's still way too rich for my blood... https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/671120210/overview/

It has some miles on it, less than 500 when i ordered. I drove it before placing the order on the ACR. I assume they would perform the recall should it need one.

Correct me if i am wrong, but franchise dealers charge manufacturers labor on recall, so it's a money maker for them.

That is the car I almost bought instead of the one I got. The salesman there was super nice and tried to bend over backwards to make it work for me but at the end of the day they wouldn't come down to where I was comfortable. I was dealing on this car almost a year ago, I bought mine the end of August last year, so it has been sitting since then, but they have come down a little more since I was looking. I was a little concerned on how the car was called "new" but had almost 200 miles on it. I'm sure it's just a title thing, but to me a new car should have little to no miles, especially these. Overall it's a great car, but I got mine new with 5 miles on it for a lot less.

I ran the VIN and it only shows up with the R29 recall which is just the valve cover. And according to its history it was done on 4/6/2016

That car has been there for over a year as well. I made them an offer before I picked up my old TA back in July 2015.

I saw that one recently online as well. Were they firm at $100k when you made an offer in 2015?

Edit - found the window sticker, really nicely optioned with the SRT hood, advanced aero and carbon fiber packages!
