My concern with something like that is effectively turning your cats into a crucible. The sills might be cooler to the touch to you, but the components would be super heating. Especially if it restricts air moving through there. I recently posted about sill temps on my Gen III and how hot they got in the city here and it freaked me out a bit. 2 days later I drove for an hour to meet some Club members in benson before our weekend drive. I hauled ass out there, passing people in 4th or 3rd a lot, running at 100 or so in 4th. Pulled off the highway into the hotel which was right off the access road and I could reach out and grab them. Because the air was moving through there as Mark Jorgenson had pointed out in my thread a couple days before.

Are you concerned about that with a kit like this or not?

The sill isn't getting any appreciable airflow. There is already insulation down there, just not enough. You are basically just completing the job. The distance between the cats and the exhaust openings on the Viper is pretty short too, leading to easy and rapid heat dissipation if contained. The point being not having your painted sill being a heatsink...
