The first Viper I bought was a 1999 black tan leather GTS with silver stripes, I had paid the deposit and filled out the paperwork, a friend then got a Carfax report for me (I had never heard of Carfax, being as I live in the UK) The car turned out to have a cert of destruction on it in Florida.
When I phoned the Dept of motor vehicles in Florida, they told me they would crush the car if it was to re appear there! I got the police and the credit card company involved and they went after the dealer, I got my monies back eventually.
So you never know, the car may have been ordered to be destroyed?
What a waste of valuable parts though :( Notice the car has mixed wheels on it!

Could it be that Santa found out that the Viper was very naughty last year. That is more severe than getting a lump of coal.

Would really like to understand why this had to be done.

Damm, that was crazy, but so much fun at the same time?? Must of been some reason why or just cause they could and possibly a waste of a good chassis, becoming rare..

Unfortunately I woke up and the video was still there -.-
I understand legal issues and drug trafficking and all that other crap that goes on.... But when things like this are destroyed its completely wasteful. There are tons of people who'd love to have that car, heck even if it didn't run. The worst part was the info under the video said "4 more to go". SMH
That's, I'm assuming, over 100K just thrown down the drain? And this country complains about being in debt? Lol, I might have gone off the deep end, but IMO there is never a good enough reason for this.

One place you can hear a worker tell the guy dumping of scrap to be careful the regular guy is not in the claw it's a guy from Chrysler.
So I would guess it is a test mule.

That's funny, this is the exact video I showed to a co-worker after watching the Viper get murdered! My guess was street racing too, just like those tuners were. I would think if it was a "test mule" or something like that, it would've been destroyed years ago, but this video looks a bit more recent.
Racing, test car, angry divorce, insurance fraud...whatever the reason, that was hard to watch! What a waste.

looks like it had a dolphin painted on the hood - the only responsible thing to do.
