This subject comes up in many threads concerning Viper sales, Gen V Sales Etc. It would seem they are sitting on lots all over the country? Lets say I want to buy a NEW unsold (not a used low mileage Viper)
Just How many can you find me? I see a New 08 ACR for $129,900, 2010 ACR for $99,900 maybe a Challenge series Viper was available. Post em here with the price!
Thanks!

I was under the impression that after a certain year they can longer be sold as new. Don't take that as truth though. As a funny story here is a good one. A rich kid from one of the oil producing countrys wanted a dealership in the USA. His family bought him one and they were never concerned if it made money. So this dealer in Cali has a mid 90s truck on their lot that has never been sold. My boss who came from Cali told us about the truck many years ago and no one thought it was true. We looked on the dealers website and sure enough there it was.

Wow, a "new" '08? I don't think I'd want a "new" car that's just been sitting around for 5 years - seems like low odds that it's been properly maintained on the dealer lot with so few miles.

I bought my "new, unsold" 09 ACR last year from Baxter. Warranty started on the day it was delivered to my place.

That orange ACR for $130k was a members car over on VCA from Canada too IIRC. It may be like new, but the warranty may be expired, its not "new".
BTW the forum member couldn't get $99k he was asking on VCA, I doubt this dealer will get $130k.

Yea my 09 ACR warranty started in Dec 2012. So with the maxcare I'm covered until 2019. :)

Viper Exchange has had this one for a while I'm surprised it hasn't sold.

So the total Is 2 2010 ACR? Both listed for 100K Blk/SSG & SSG/Blk. Less than 10% off MSRP after 4 years? I too believe full factory 3/36 5/100K Warranty would still be valid if purchased new from a Dealer.

I had an 09 vert I bought very early new below 80. I got sucked into the Final 50 Edition 2010 at MSRP. Then I bought a essentially new 2010 Anaconda green that sat forever for way below MSRP.

Ordered a 2013 and got so pissed on so many levels --canceled and bought a McLaren for 2X the price but not disappointed. I would love to buy a NEWViper as soon as one comes out. I usually have 3 . Now one--92. Keep the faith.

A "new" 08 is six years "old"

DOT standards are to replace tires every 5 years regardless of wear; it's an issue I'd inquire about with the seller if i were a buyer

Tires, rubber hoses, weatherstripping, seals, belts, etc also go bad with time. Ferrari timing bets are to be changed every 5000 miles or 5 years on the older belt cars before the 430.

Considering that most used 2010 are asking in the 90K mark, I don't think its too far off to ask 110 with some room to neg. You have to remember that you could get a new SRT base car for under 95K if you look and neg hard enough. Esp this time of year. Again this is all personal taste as some like the Gen4 body style over the new Gen and would rather pay the same money for a used car or a 4 year old car. Not sure why, but, there is always a buyer for everything. Keep in mind you do still get the full warranty for a 4 year old "new" car starting the day you leave the lot. That said, you do get a lot more refinements on even the base Gen 5 over the Gen 4 for the same or little more dineros. A bargain really when you think about it.
