Houston 2014 Event Planning Meeting

Hey everyone:
I'm finally done with the end of year rush with my business. As soon as I'm done compiling a new member list I will shoot out an email and post here about an 'Everyone's welcome 2014 planning meeting'. Those of us that put together the event schedule would really like feedback about potential events and for you to attend the meeting if you can. Feel free to post ideas here. Plan on the weekend of the 18th. Weather permitting I say we either hit indoor carting or have a cruise along with the meeting.

Odd, I'm listed as an enthusiast. I will look into that. VOA has me registered as the Regional president.

What is this event? Is this event to be the "VOI" for the VOA? Also kind of curious as to the proposed event timing since I will be in San Antonio in June. Maybe things will line up.

As for another carting option, I know MSR has nice groupon or sweet jack coupons available for their big cart circuit.

Off topic, How many of you Houstonites plan to make the TX2K14 event? I don't want to be the only Viper again like I was 2 years ago. I drove 11 hours and break down on Sunday. I hope to better represent this time around. :dude3:

I might head out for some of it but not too into the massive street racing scene. A few pulls with some buddies or a private deal is cool but the TX2K stuff gets a little out of hand sometimes lol. I was planning on doing some road racing but I thought they got rid of the MSR event.

Calling all Houston Vipers - come on over to Dave & Buster's on Richmond Ave. this Saturday at a 12:30 for lunch and 2014 event planning. Let's get a fun calendar put together! We'll have reserved parking so there's no reason not to bring your snake since the weather looks to be great!

Sorry not going to make it out guys. Pulled the car out and having a gasket issue that I thought I had fixed. Minor inconvenience but its got me "slightly" frustrated lol. Thought about driving the tahoe out but would rather goof off with getting the Viper fixed.

B&R I'll touch base with you guys and Mike about how I can help with some events this year.

Who did you go with?. I want to get my car sorted, and need some track time. I might ask the Porsche club if I can tag along as they seem to have that track a lot.

Sorry, but hijack back on...I went with TWS PDE. PCA is in a couple weeks, but probably full at this time. I do also go with PCA. I think TWS has a fairly regular schedule too. I would love to see other Vipers on the track. I seem to always be the only one. There were 2 F458s and 1 F430 out there as well. Great to see those guys drive their cars!

Next time you go, If you have enough lead time, and don't mind some company, I can think of a couple of ACR's that would probably be interested in tagging along. I got my Aero coupe into the 1:56's without running slicks. I'm curious as to what I can do with the ACR on stock rubber before I put slicks on it.
