Junkman's Glass Cleaning Tutorial

In this video, I show how I obtain perfectly clean glass using an inexpensive cleaner and towels. If you have tinted windows, make sure that you use an ammonia-free window cleaner. Watch and be amazed!

Want a better liquid solution than Windex? Use plain water with a few drops of vinegar and a drop or two of Dawn dishwashing liquid.
Shake it up. Works fantastic and of course costs nothing. The MF towels are the key as Junkman says.

Well wait a minute, alcohol and Dawn cost more than a 2-liter bottle of Windex. Plus, some people have hard water and will need some distilled water. That combination would be more expensive than any glass cleaner.

Well that would be true if I said PUT AN ENTIRE BOTTLE OF DAWN AND VINAGER IN A CONTAINER...but I said a few drops.
So you would literally get a hundred gallons or more. It's a very effective window cleaner.
Doubtful most Viper owners are concerned about cost anyway but since you brought it up.

Glass has always been my weak point, I even have a thin glass cleaning towel which I think I will use for the buffing process. I use a Synthetic Chamois and they look like crap but using no product will do that.

Yes sir. Vinegar and dawn is the secret cleaner few have heard about. Works like a champ. We use it for almost everything. Vinegar is $3/gal. Very economical.

I wanted to let you know that I did the windshield on my 1964 Galaxie and it shines like new and I can finally see clearly through it. I did my wife's car too and it was an amazing difference. I had used Windex before, but only spritzing and lightly wiping it off. The triangle pad with the handle gives such good leverage and reach. In the past I had only used it to reach hard to get spots on the inside. Now I will get my money's worth with it.

I bet your paint wouldn't pass the flash test. Why don't you pull your car out in direct sunlight and do a real slow walk around with the sun beam directly in the lens? You can use your cell phone, just make sure you turn it sideways (we don't want to have to break out our World Star Hip Hop app to view it). That video should be posted tomorrow if your practices are as good as you claim. Or, your paint is as jacked up as I suspect and you will never post a video (or post after you get your paint fixed}.

Funny how a little invention like that makes such a difference when used effectively. ;)

Like he invented the idea of looking at swirls under high powered lighting 'cause no one else thought of it. PROFESSIONAL detailers know what's best. I've used Optimum for years with terrific results. The Junkman is stuck in 1995.

Did you see his reaction when I mentioned using the water/dawn/vinegar mix? Attack mode....how dare you suggest that over Windex? So what if Professional detailers who do it FOR A LIVING use it...because it's better....The Junkman knows better. I haven't seen professional detailer use Windex in 20 years. I nearly died laughing when he actually claimed his leather strap on front bumper bra (circa 1990) was better than todays Expel and clear bra materials...do you really have to know anything else? A 30 minute video to say use Windex and microfiber towels? GTFO.....

And that's why you posted a video like I requested? Like a 10' shot of your paint proves anything. I can hide a boatload of paint damage in a picture. Get to work on your paint so that you can post a video. Until then, keep hiding behind those pictures.

Indeed, you are 100% correct. The bra comment by him is historical over Xpel. No detailer I know uses windex. Done wasting my time with him, lol at me hiding.
