this is my 3rd event at palmer motorsports park in Massachusetts. the track has many many turns with steep uphill and downhill sections. very technical. my first 2 events there were moderately frustrating as I was trying to learn the fastest driving line. everything seemed much smoother and faster today....
it was very hot during the afternoon. I had to take it down a notch the last 6-7 minutes of the video (oil temps were getting up there).
I was in 2nd gear for the twisty uphill and downhill portions of the track and then in 3 rd for the rest. the main "straight" isn't really straight. the 2nd half of it is a sweeper. I am currently using Toyo R888s for tires.
As I watch it, looks like I am a little early on my turn ins on most of the left handers

I was in HPDE4 (advanced ) group with SCDA. great, great day...very fun. click below, hopefully the video will open

The track has a very nice layout. The driving lines looked smooth.

I thought in America it is always safety first. Here in Europe we are not allowed to drive with the side windows down on a trackday.

Next time, try to keep your hands on a fixed point on the steering wheel(9 and 3). You could do all the turns in this video with out sliding the steering wheel trough your hands.

Beautiful track, in a magnificent setting! I noticed that they didn't exactly skimp on the concrete.

The track has only been open about a year. Surface is smooth as glass!

Palmer is a great track. Even the tight turns are surprising fun.

Overall your line looks pretty good, but you are lifting way too early on the front straight. You should also be tighter to the apex and use more road on track out.

Here's a video of a guy I've raced against for years. He's very quick. You'll see how tight he is on apex on all the corners, and how deep he drives into the corners.

Great track and nice smooth driving. When I went to Advanced EMT driving school many years ago they were always remind-full of hand position on the wheel. 9 to 3 or 10 to 2 and you can drive almost all conditions much smoother and faster. Your hands rarely leave the wheel. I would recommend for all Ross Bentley's Ultimate Driving Secrets book for novice and pro alike. Easy reading as well.

This was not meant to be critical at all FYI.

Palmer has several very tight turns where it's nearly impossible not to shuffle steer. I wouldn't worry about it.

Wow what a track cut into the mountain side. I like the elevation change. The car can hold 1.5 g's in the corner. Impressive

That track is more like a canyon road. No room for error there, eh?
Nice though!

no problem with sound levels at this track?

I think the sound limit is 95 dB (not entirely sure). shouldn't be a problem even for most modified cars.

I ran my Porsche 964 cup with open exhaust at Palmer last year without issue.
