Guys
I religiously turn off my radio/media when pulling into my garage so there are no surprise volume bursts when I get into the car the next day. Do this on all my vehicles.
With my Gen 5, the radio or media comes back on automatically when I start the car the next time. Is that normal? Is there a setting for that somewhere so it stays off until I power it back up?
Thanks!! Still learning!

I haven't found a way to turn the stereo system off completely. It only mutes it if you press the button.

Wow I didn't see this. I just posted the same question, How do you turn the radio OFF. LOL

My solution for this is that I just turn the volume down all the way as I pull into my garage. That way, when I turn the car on the next morning, the radio does come on by itself but the volume is at 0 so it doesn't wake anyone up or making me want to punch a hole through it.

No off. Same exact system in my Ram (same screen, buttons everything) no off there either. I just turn it all the way down when I pull into the garage, as I like to hear engine at idle prior to shutdown. Same with startup - I just turn it down as soon as it starts, get in the habit of doing so.

I really with there was an off button. Then the amp will be off etc.

Since the stack controls many other functions they cannot really turn it off.

They wouldn't it be nice if the mute stayed mute when you turn the car back on? Seems like a simple software fix.

You would think, but must have something to do with chimes, warnings phone hook up or something I would guess...
