Does anyone happen to know what type of downforce the TA style deck spoiler produces? (Then the obvious next question
being, any suggestion for a great place/price for a OEM or Aftermarket that fits-like-a-glove). Thanks!

Just put a few sand bags in the back and you can have the same downforce. Hah ....

JonB quoted me a great price on the spoiler.

Thanks all.... Was at a charity event this weekend, and a GTS (almost same color combo) had the spoiler and thought
it looked great. I was not sure on the look with a striped car, and, if there was any benefit on downforce. THANKS!

Just remember that if you add the TA spoiler or wing that you need to add the correct aero pieces to the front, if not your car can become dangerously light in the front at speed. Downforce must be balanced front and rear.

I would love the TA spoiler on my SRT, but don't have the ground clearance for the front aero.

Alan, it actually isn't much lower than the stock bumper....maybe a half inch. There are flaps near wheel wells that rub before the splitter. I think i have a Clearance pic on my phone....ill upload

What you can't see is the bumper angles down behind the splitter and is almost equal in clearance from the ground.. It's really not that bad..... plus the rub strips are replacable. If you have a steep driveway it could be an issue.

I would only worry about balancing front and rear downforce if you are tracking the car. Because on the street you will never ever notice the missing front aero. I sure didn't when I hit 174 on a long deserted straight in Mexico in my '13 where I only added the rear aero. You can't/shouldn't be taking corners on the street fast enough for the aero to come into play.

If you mean the TA 1.0, it adds so little downforce that it's not a concern really. Perhaps at top speed you may notice something but about 1 or maybe 2 owners in their life will achieve that.

I agree... Tons of Gen 3/4 cars out there with wings and no splitter. These are such a small amount of down force that it will not matter at sane street speeds.

But it could matter at insane street speeds

Imagine if balance was that important on the street, we would see Mustangs in the ditch left and right! Currently you only have to watch out for them in ditches leaving your local Cars and Coffee...

I do track the car, although only will be 2-3x yearly... typically near me at Road Atlanta. I will admit my first attention
was at a charity drive event this weekend seeing a Black w/red stripe GTS (mine is Gunmetal w/red) and the combination
of the spoiler looked "proper". The secondary question though was on driving impact and any benefits on-track. (cool)

My 13 GTS has the rear spoiler installed without the front splitters. No issues

Question on that... In one of the vendor pics, I see a full-length 3M strip there. Do you recall any positive bolting to
the rear decklid, or, is it totally on there with the 3M adhesive? (If you know)

Xtreme can be installed with 3m tape
OEM can be done that way too, but you would need to dremel down a ridge designed to help grip the glue/windoweld they use they. I did that and installed with no issues.

Where are you guys buying the spoilers from? Perhaps I should bundle headers and aero into one purchase

I got one for a Gen 2 and one for a Gen 5 here- http://xtremesupercars.com/
Both had excellent fit and finish and they have great customer service and answer their emails etc.
It's installed with just double sided tape that's preinstalled on the bottom. I've hit 150's on the track several time and they have stayed on!

Their site needs major help. Looks like like it was built in 1999. I guess you have to call them, any pics of the product?

Lol...my thoughts exactly. How one can survive without a good website is beyond me. I think they do enough business by word of mouth that they dont give an s*** about their website.
Love the guy (jonB), but partsrack has the same website issues. It has never been up to date.....or had all of his product listed with current pricing.
Gotta make it easy to shop. Add to cart, check out, done!
Sometimes you just want to browse and see what the have.....which leads to sales!
