Vipers do go in limp mode..
Not very frequenty! For the Z it is a common occurrence. The Z is a fantastic car, but has some engineering issues. I have had 3 HPDE days and so far no limp mode. Other makes went into limp mode and experienced various types of failures. The Viper is very robust.
Agreed that the Z was doing great--Huracan should have given the Z a point by. Z also sounds great!

its a shame to think the lambo driver didn't event realize that he was outdriven the entire time.

Thanks - Yes it was unfortunate- good thing I have both! Once I get the Viper prepped I'll have some video. Still trying to decide if I will be selling my GTS for an ACR though?...

Seems the biggest problems we have are the darned ol O2 sensors. Other than the limp mode caused via those suckers we are generally pretty bullet proof.

My Viper went into limp mode on my very first 1/2 mile run back in January. I freaked out!
I pulled into my spot- shut it down and everything was fine for the next 9 runs.
Dont know what tripped it.
Maybe it was because i had traction control on? maybe because it was 28 degrees out? who knows....
