Its already known that Andy at Viper Exchange is a vital asset to our community with all he has done for us with the GEN Vs. I just wanted to reaffirm this. I contacted him numerous times before deciding to go with the Arrow PCM, both emails and by phone. He always answered promptly. Furthermore I couldn't have chosen a busier time to order it as he was preparing for NVE. He not only took the time to handle my order but also found me a PCM and shipped it the same day. Thanks Andy!
I'll be using this thread as a review and also to share videos of the Arrow PCM on my catless setup. Looking forward to it! :dude3:

Would love to throw headers on it. I just have the AP catless exhaust from stock headers back. I think this will be all I do to it until I'm ready to go TT.

This is a canned tune done by the guys at Arrow who are the engine builders. There are custom tunes available with the HPTuners device.
7th, you're going to love it. It's worth it for the decel pops alone! I hope it fixes your issues though.

This is by far the best mod you can make and and should be everyone's first. The sound this thing makes is incredible.
It takes a so-so sounding car and makes it sound like the offspring of a Cobra and a Ferrari! The 30+hp it gains is just a free bonus!

^^^This^^^ Just had my PCM installed today...OMG. Easily best bang for the buck, the decel pop is worth the admittance fee PERIOD. And as a bonus 30 more hp is icing on the cake. Me too. I know there are some dealers who will honor the warranty, but I'm not convinced that mine will nor how FCA would respond to it. Really want to do it though.

Andy is a great resource to the Viper community. I've been contemplating the Arrow PCM but just doing the PCM is not good enough for me. My issue is that I'm a mod-a-holic. I've been through this journey with my GenII...it starts with the air filters, then SCT tune, headers, exhaust ,heads.....and now my GenII is with Greg Good for build #2 targeting 600+rwhp. :witless: I have a sickness. I swore to myself I would keep the ACR stock but I just can't shake the mod-fever. I've come to the conclusion that if I do the Arrow PCM + Headers + Hi flows....I might as well go directly to the arrow heads/cam package because it not much more and frankly more economical. I need intervention. I need help. I'm not well. Viper-sickness.

i just had warranty work done on my Heads and cam car and they dealer didn't say a word.
To date I'm at 18,300 miles and have been to a dealer 7x for random things; oil pressure gauge, oil cooler leak, recall 29, window indexing and so on and my viper has been modified for every visit. Dealers can only deny warranty work if the modification caused the issue which most don't care to prove.

Its on and what a difference. The exhaust note is much more aggressive. Having no cats and the Arrow PCM is just nasty. Everyone turns to look once the exhaust sound hits them. The throttle is more responsive. The car should have come from the factory this way!
I do have a question for those who have the Arrow PCM. I noticed the RPMs don't fall as fast as they used to with the stock PCM. You all seeing this as well? I just want to make sure the Viper tech performed the throttle relearn correctly. They wouldn't allow me back in the service bay but I did hear him start it and it sounded like the car had a mean cam. He turned it off then a couple minutes later fired it up and it sounded normal again.
Here is a video. Didn't get on it because I wanted to get a couple miles on the PCM before doing so.

That's how it suppose to be. The aggressive off throttle deceration is the difference you are noticing. In other words the fueling table on decel that causes the pop is what has the rpms dropping slower in gear. Enjoy

Holy shit that sounds awesome. The part where you were revving it in the garage--that would scare little old ladies and make kids cry in fear. Your AP exhaust sounds completely different compare to your other videos you posted after the exhaust install. Love it. Glad I ordered my PCM from Flatout. Just have to wait for the back order to get filled in.
Give us an update after you've had it a while, especially regarding the open throttle hesitation.

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention regarding your question: I read other forum users say that after their arrow was installed that it idled high at around 1k and then came down to around 750rpm after about 500 miles. Hopefully someone will confirm, as this is just what I've read.

The mean cam sound you heard was probably limp mode, so he did something wrong to begin with, but obviously was able to fix it. If he didn't do it correctly, you wouldn't be able to drive it, because it would just keep going into limp mode.
The lack of decel, as has already been stated, is a byproduct of the decel burble. That's why the original Mopar PCM had it turned off altogether in the Gen 4 application.

I laughed while reading that lol.... The VE titanium setup is very nice! Titanium gives off a very exotic exhaust note.
What are you guys doing for emission inspections?
In regards to the Arrow PCM, once its installed by a dealership you can swap between it and the stock PCM at your home. Literally takes 2 minutes.
For running no catalytic converters if you choose, I have my Viper registered in a county that has no emission regulations. Honestly a good high flow cat setup will do just fine. Anything but those stock cats! I'm sure someone on here can confirm, I believe someone sells a high flow cat setup which eliminates two of the four cats on the car and replaces two with high flows. I think people are able to pass emissions with this setup while maintaining a less restricted exhaust flow.
Running a cat less exhaust the stock computer will throw a cel?
You will throw a CEL unless you use O2 spacers. They aren't much money. I ran them on the stock PCM and never threw a CEL. I am more than happy to give them away for free to a member here now that I don't need them. They are proven to work and glad to help anyone here.

Do you have the underdrive pulley? If you don't that should be your next mod, it's about $160 with new belt. You can do it yourself in about a 1/2 hour. The decel pop is so much louder with the UD pulley.

It didn't. The car has hesitated from day one, even with the stock exhaust. Best way I can describe it is the following; the only time it does it is when I slam my foot all the way down on the throttle from absolutely zero throttle input. Basically foot off the gas pedal then slamming it to the floorboard.
It seems if I have even 5% input on the throttle and slam my foot to 100% it doesn't hesitate. My best guess is it's something having to do with the drive-by throttle.

Yeah he explained it very well.
With the drive by wire there is no immediate throttle blade movement if you stab at the pedal, even with the Arrow PCM there are protections in place for un intended throttle applications. The factory PCM will be more aggressive with this than the Arrow calibration, but both are integrated into the software as safety controls. The best way to get what you desire is a quick roll on the pedal maybe 20% and then a full quick push, this tells the PCM you have control of your input and it will react accordingly.

Not at all "a lot louder". It doesn't make the exhaust note any louder but it does make it more aggressive if that makes any sense. You will like it.

i don't have a mechanical explanation for it but i can tell you i had the ipsco pulley on before i got the Arrow pcm and as soon as i installed the Arrow pcm, from the start the decel pop was ultra loud. with the stock belt and ipsco pulley i was getting a lot of belt slip, so i ordered a shorter belt and put the stock pulley back on while i waited for the new belt and i immediatley i noticed was the decel pop was not as loud. 3 days latter i put the ipsco pulley and new belt back on and my decel pop was super loud again.
