This morning I noticed my oil pressure readings are weird. If I idle it reads as 0 psi, if I rev anything over idle it reads as 100 psi. I setup an appointment at the dealership to have them look at it.

I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else, or if there is an obvious reason why it would be doing this?

Bad sender - happened to several here, in addition to other FCA vehicles, especially the Jeeps. My tech says they use a lot of them.

What swexlin said. When it happened last summer to my 2014 300 S, a good friend checked weekly repair utilization of said sensor...about 4000 as I recall.

Got it, thanks for the info.

Got my car back. They replaced the faulty sensor and it is good to go.

I guess my car was in limp mode while the sensor wasn't working. Felt like a rocket when I got onto the freeway after leaving the dealership.

As a side note, they updated my PCM firmware. I thought he meant my radio unit until I looked at my receipt when I got home, so I didn't ask why. Any ideas on what the update changed?
