The door panel carpet on the Gen II Vipers leaves a lot to be desired. With use, it tends to pill up, and generally look awful. Such was the case with my car. It's very easy to fix, and it took maybe 10 minutes per door. A bit of trimming with some scissors, and it's back to looking like new :)

I've been thinking about this for a while! Now that I saw your results, I'll be doing it this weekend!

I used a electric sweater depiller that my wife uses on her sweaters. It worked great!

Thank you for the info. I have been using a brush to give it a "comb over" to make it lay down. This looks like a great way to tidy up that scruffy look it has.

Anyone have a guide on how to peel that crappy carpet off all together and replace it with leather or perhaps a nice colored suede??? If not, I guess I'll try taking my gillette to the door panels. LOL

I have been thinking about replacing the fuzz with the always classy diamond-stitch leather or Alcantara.5435

I use a cheap BIC razor and shave the carpet chunks off.
