Wednesday, May 11th
7:45 a.m. Houston group meets in the Baytown Buccee’s parking lot
4080 East Freeway service road, Baytown, TX 77521
8:00 a.m. Depart
10:00 a.m. Arrive at exit 873 to meet the rest of our conga line (Sulfur, LA area)
Plenty of gas stations and food options
This gives us some extra time in the event we have traffic/construction/problems
11:00 a.m. Depart
1:00 p.m. Pit stop at exit # 151 for fuel/pit stop
Once everyone’s ready to go again we’ll congregate in a nearby parking lot and leave from there
1:30 p.m. Depart
2:30 p.m. Arrive NOLA!
I have been told we’re the largest convoy arriving so they will stage us at another location so we don’t swamp the hotel at the same time. They will give us our parking passes and release groups to go park and walk across to the hotel for check in. If you have too much stuff to carry you can pull into the tunnel, unload, check in and then park your car.
Now folks, we want to counsel everyone to take it easy the first night in NOLA because our track day starts at 6 a.m. Thursday morning!!! Aren’t you glad we’re first up so we can have fun the rest of the evenings???
