I am planning on making the move to California. My wife is from Alpine outside of San Diego. I do not understand
what it is with CA except for the weather. I'm looking for a builder to build our home. Any help is appreciated.

Will it be hard to find enough affordable land for your home and your stable of cars?

good luck, its like finding a needle in a haystack to any anybody to show up and work and do a quality job, they are out there as you know, but hard to find. hope you find a good one.. I just built one,and it took me hours of babysitting in every area for quality, and I thought I had great people. the work force for people careing is sad.

I own a lumberyard and if you go into one that supplies the type of home you are looking for they should be able to recommend one for you.

With current market conditions it is usually cheaper to buy a home already built than build it yourself.

Alpine is it's own little world. Different people live there than in San Diego proper. New casino going in has everybody in a tither.

Lots of larger properties available, and cost are reasonable for California.

this is good advice. Also a brickyard will point you in a direction

lots of builders in area, here a few i know build great homes. C.W. Roders Construction Co. p.o. box 573, pine valley, Ca. 91962, O'Krey Construction-Santee, Ca. 858-703-9109, Jacob Dewitt. 760-212-1743, New Vision Building&Design, 619-733-7636. I lived in Lakeside & Descanso; El Capitan HighSchool class of '68. there is a VOA member living in Alpine; Tavern Rd./S. Grade; forget name but made the bucket list event to Tahoe last Sept. like i said, there are many builders in area so finding one should be no problem. Moving to Campo-- Tecate is a great border town, use to enjoy the plaza, cold beer and taco's; check it out.
