Viper newbie here.

Hello all,

My name is CJ and I'm in Bucks County PA. Just picked up my first Viper this week. Completely stock, no accidents 2006 SRT10 Copperhead Coupe with 15,000 miles. I'm coming over from the Mustang world and have owned 5 over the past 20+ years. My most recent was a 2013 Boss 302 that I bought new. So hoping my transition to Viper world goes smoothly. I've wanted a viper since I had a poster of one on my wall when I was in HS, so this is kind of the dream coming to fruition. Been learning lots already this week and have immersed myself in reading about the history and provenance of the Viper. I went through the carfax and available service records for the car and all of the recalls have been attended to and yes, the window regulators were fixed years ago. Just got the Oil, filter, brake fluid and clutch fluid all changed. Got a clean bill of health from a Viper tech at Fred Beans Dodge. So I'm pretty excited! Anyway...be kind, I've got a lot to learn.

Welcome to the VOA. That is a gorgeous car you have. Just to let you the color of that car can be duplicated but not the flip flop properties it has in it. I can ttell what tires you have but if they are the Michelin Run flats, please replace them asap. Those rocks will get no traction and heat cycle so fast. Take your time and learn about the car and get use to it.

Vipers are a lot of fun.

We could be long lost brothers from opposite sides of the world! My story is similar to yours, 28 years and 5 Mustangs later I finally got my dream car, 2006 Viper coupe, last year, which also has 15k miles! My car is booked in for a recall next Friday (clutch spring) and is also totally standard apart from K&N filter, head unit, and stainless sill plates which I added recently. I also put new tyres (tires?) on last week. I immersed myself in Viper history with DVD's, youtube video's and books, I also got loads of models and Tee-shirts etc. Happy motoring!

Funny you should mention the clutch spring...just the other day when I had the car inspected by the Viper tech at Fred Beans Dodge they said mine had not been completed. Mine will be going in next week also for the same thing. That is eerie...haha.

Welcome! Congrats on your Copperhead Coupe! I've had mine for a couple of years now and that color will get you a lot of attention anywhere you go... not to mention that it is a Viper of course :-) There were only 51 coupes built in Copperhead Orange, so they are not seen very often. Enjoy!

AWESOME color....

BTW, I switched my stock tires and got some Michelin Super Sports. Feels like the car gain 100hp. Now that I can go over 4000rpm without the tires spinning. Best mod yet. Change your tires ASAP. Might stop you from smashing that car up!
