You'd have to be crazy to use them on a track car.

Next spring I'm thinking of getting some Forgestar's just like this (http://driveviper.com/forums/threads/12031-Forgestar-F14-Wheels-IN-STOCK-NOW!) that Tony has pictured on his car for daily use and using my stock wheels for track only. While the video is scary it doesn't dissuade me from using them, you just need to be smart and check your wheels.

This is not a brand-specific issue. I've seen high-end brands also fail, from fatigue or abuse. The owner of that car in the video does not blame the wheel company, he blames his lack of routine inspection for track related parts. On a race car, wheels are indeed a wear item. Aluminum has a fatigue life, when used in such manner. Always inspect all of your parts, if you track often.

More info to share, regarding this Honda S2000 that broke a wheel. There are a few videos out there of him going off track in a high speed manner. There are also videos of him nailing every single curb on a track, so hard that you hear his suspension bottom out.

This video was from one week earlier, watch the end of the video:

Good response here, from another Forgestar dealer that supplies racers:

Wheels don't simply fail. Abused wheels can certainly fail, regardless of brand.
