View Full Version : Adding Bi Mode Suspension to a base SRT

I have been debating selling my take off Bi Mode dampers from my 2015 GT for awhile. I took these off with roughly 300 miles on them when I added our ViperExchange Active Damper Package. I have had them tucked away in the tractive boxes that my new dampers came in.

You can add these to any single mode SRT and with the center stack upgrade you'll have a fully functioning bi mode factory suspension system in a base car.

All of the factory connections are in place on the harness, it's completely plug and play and I would be happy to walk you through the install if needed. I didn't want to post this in the classifieds wasn't sure what the interest level would be. Feel free to email me to discuss.

Nice, so this means when you sell me the blue car, it will have the Tractive.

What price are you thinking Andy?

What price are you thinking Andy?

Factory cost on the dampers is $3,152.00 for the set so under that. Send me an email if you want to discuss price.

Dude, Andy. Seriously. Credit me $2500 for my stock dampers for you to resell and I'll order a Tractive setup ASAP then mail you my stockers :)

If there is a Market for the takeoffs I might start doing that. We'll see on my personal set here.

I'm sure there'd be interest in that TA suspension. In Andys as well.

I'd be tempted if I didn't have the tractive sitting in my garage. And the screen on its way from Viper Exchange.

Thanks again for the prompt service Andy!

Anytime you're going to love the tractives!

This is something my Viper tech (very competent) could install easily? Of course, would have to purchase the stack as well.

Yes completely plug and play, very simple install. I have the HVAC stacks in stock. No sales codes have to be added.

Is there anyway to install these and lock them into the stiff mode without having to do the center stack upgrade?
I would just want to keep them in the stiffest setting full time, no need to switch back and forth. Can this be done?

Thanks!

Arizona, I think on our Track Pack cars, our stock setup is pretty stiff, probably similar, so no need to even do this then? Andy or Tony could chime in here.

Are you sure you'd want to do that? To me, it rides way too stiff for street comfort.

Yes you could but honestly it wouldn't be of much benefit over the stock setup that you have. It's so nice to be able to press a button and smooth the car out on longer drives and then stiffen them up when you are ready to push the car.

I ordered the TA springs which I couldn't get without buying the shocks.
So I either need to install the new shocks with the springs or will have to disassemble and put the new TA spec springs on my old shocks.
This car is 95% track car at this point so I don't mind stiff. But yeah if Andy could chime in on how the track pack shocks differ from the TA shocks that would be great!

The TA dampers have a stiffer spring rate. If you are tracking the car you would want to run the TA springs over the stock bi mode springs.

Ok, thanks! Should I use the TA shocks as well? Or just put the TA springs over my standard shocks? Are the TA shocks better for track than my stock track pack car shocks?

Are the shocks same with GTS track package cars? If yes, I would have a TA setup with springs + sway bar + alignment?

Thanks for all the info.

I have a base 14SRT.
How would this change my ride in both settings compared to what I have now? Is it really noticeable? Thanks.

Correct same electronic stock dampers that come on the GTS, and GT Vipers.

It's a nice upgrade, working at ViperExchange I drive all of the Viper models back to back on a regular basis. You can always tell a difference when driving a base SRT (harsher single mode feel), then onto a bi mode car (nice street ride and stiffer track mode), then into a full active setup.

It's a nice upgrade to be able to flip from street to race on the fly.

I forgot to mention, I'm throwing in the factory damper control/bcm module with the takeoff dampers.

That's awesome. Anyone know how much the springs and sway bars go for?

Andy,
Is it cool to say what they sold for? You can email or PM me if you prefer.

Just weighing my options here, if I can sell off my set and go with Tractive without much hassle.

Roughly want you mentioned earlier in the thread.
