As stated I have a coolant leak what looks like under and a little behind the driver side coil pack. I took a picture with my borescope as best I could. I've also added a pic from the service manual with my finger pointing the location. It looks like a gasket or rtv and feels rubbery in my fingers. I'm asking if anyone has an idea of what might be leaking? I'm going to take it apart again and I would like some idea of what it is.

Could be the thermostat housing where it mounts to the head, or the head gasket.

All Gen1 cars suffered from head gasket leaking until the newer replacement gaskets were installed. If this has never been done you should save yourself potential bigger problems and just have the head gaskets replaced.

I just replaced the tstat and gasket and checked it and it was bone dry along with the bypass. It's leaking from what looks like behind the driver side coil pack about 2 inches above and to the left of the transmission. It leaked profusely when filling the coolant with the engine off. The tstat gasket is not leaking.
