The sample piece is at the bender and we should be getting a run of 20 upper coolant pipes in the next 2-3 weeks. We are going to run a group buy on all 20 until they get here. Regular price 169.+shipping Order before they arrive and they are 139.95 shipped. Here is a sample on some Gen 3's and v's

Can you do a test fit on the gen 4? It was my understanding that the gen 3 pipe hits the ecm cover on the 4.

I have a customer dropping one off in a week to build a pipe for one and then get the mandrel bent ones.

If these will occupy the exact same space as the stock rubber hose, I'm interested...here's why I need it to be pretty darn exact:

Gen 3/4/5 are different in regards to spacing and a bit of routing.

Any updates on Gen 4 fitment? Definitely interested, but just want to make sure it fits first.

Other than aesthetics, does this serve any other purpose? Just curious.

Get rid of the collapsing top hose and fully remove the chance of losing a hose on a long run. I no longer have to carry replacements in my trunk on 3,000 rally runs.

Yikes!!!!! That's insane it'll pull that much pressure out of that hose. Hopefully fitment is there for a Gen4 too...

Interested for a gen4 since I need a coolant flush anyway.

Where do we order? Will the 139 shipped version be stainless look? Will it have the rubber hoses on either end to connect?

Bumping this up, waiting for gen 4 confirmation.

What is interesting to me is, the guys who engineer the Viper know that that pipe collapses and they didn't feel the need to add a hard pipe.

Has anyone ever had a coolant failure? Or what does the hard pipe provide? Are the coolant temps different at WOT with the hard pipe vs the soft one?

Another bump...I'm holding off on a coolant swap so I can do this all at the same time.

FYI, there are options to install the hard pipe on a gen IV.
1. On the ecm, saw off the two mount protrusions on the back side and move the ecm back out of the way. To re-mount, drill and tap a new hole for front. On the back mount use a bed of JB Weld (quick). Seriously. It ain't gonna move, even if you want to change your ecm. LOL
2. Mark the spot on the pipe that is going to hit the ecm, and take it to a custom exhaust shop and have it "dimpled" so it clears.
3. Most simple, and my choice. The problem is really the ecm plug cover. I used a dremmel and cut away about 1/4 of the corner, and - you guessed it. Filled flat corner with JB Weld (quick). (see attached)

I like the chrome look, but your body color paint works fine too. (see attached)

I have never seen any evidence of this being a "real" problem. I put the hard pipes in my car so I could ditch carrying extra rad hoses on long rally trips. I always kept an extra upper, a lower, and extra belt in my trunk....and trunk space on the Vert is very limited to begin with.
