I use to be able to buy an ultra fine polish that I used with a low speed orbital buffer to remove swirls before putting a teflon wax on my car. The company is now out of business and the company that took them over no longer carries it. it was for swirls only, it was too fine to remove scratches. Afterwards the paint was so smooth you could drop a towel on the hood and it would slide off. Is anybody aware of a similar product?

There are tons of products out there to choose from...I've used Menzerna products in the past with great results, and is what I continue to use.

Sounds like you'd want something in the "finishing" category.

I use Griots Garage products. Not top of the line but very affordable with ease of application and great results.

Meguiar's M205 is good followed by 3M 39030 and for touch up use Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer

Menzerna does make a very good product. Unfortunately they redid their entire cut/polish line so the names I knew by heart are no longer valid. Here are their new finishing polishes:

I'm sure they're as good as their older stuff.

I don't know about Teflon wax, considering at the temperature that it would take for Teflon to adhere, there wouldn't be any wax left. However if you get yourself a DA, and get yourself a Menzerna 3 in 1, Cut, Finish and Wax bottle. I think it would give you stellar results on like a 3 or 4 depending on your polisher.

I am a fan of Adam's as well, 3M Finesse is another great product for accomplishing this.

This was a very long time ago. The Teflon in the wax theoretically sealed the pores in the paint. It was better than the products that were available at the time but I think wav and especially sealants have come incredibly far since then. The real magic was the polish though.

Looking at Meguiars they are saying the Ultimate is better than Professional. Would you agree with that or is that just marketing?

I used Chemical Guys polish on my car and their products basically ruined the finish on my paint. Got rid of the swirls, but even their finishing pad and finishing polish leave haze on the clear coat. Still struggling to find something to bring back the original finish.

I asked the Clear bra dealer near me to recommend a detailer who talked to me for a long time about Opti-coat. I just wanted a polish but after talking with him I am tempted to go with the full Opti-coat treatment. Way more than I was planning on spending tough.

Thank you. I am already halfway down the rabbit hole after reading their forums. The Reflection Shot thread is both inspirational and scary.

Does anyone have any experience with Chemical guys Black Light hybrid radiant finish? Video and pitch sounds interesting.

I have a black GTS. Used black light (glaze) , jet seal (sealer) & 5050 in that order. I've never had a better finish when with their products

Teneck83, Do you know if the black light glaze is the same as black light hybrid radiant finish?

Yes. That is what I used as the glaze. If you do not like a paste as a final wax coat than 5050 may not be your favorite. Their butter wet wax is what I HIGHLY recommend

Their #38 polish and black hexlogic pad.
