We've been super busy with races and preparing for more events with customer cars but I wanted to highlight some of the fun we've been having with my Supercharged GTS as well!
After developing the supercharger system at D3 Performance Engineering we had the opportunity to really put on a show at Viper Nationals and take a shot at the record! We knew we wouldn't get a standalone EMS, rear gear, or trans mods done prior to the race and would be out powered by some of the twin turbo cars so we decided to do something to make the car as efficient and consistent as possible on the new combo and to give us a fighting chance!
Here's what we ended up with:
Stock engine and ECU (tuned with HP Tuners)
D3PE F1X Supercharger System (Boost increased to 15psi)
D3PE Complete Fuel System (hanger, dual pumps, lines, fittings, rails, etc)
TH400 Automatic Transmission conversion
Forgeline Drag Wheel setup (17x10 rear, 17x4 front)
Hoosier 28x10 slicks
Q16 Race Fuel
Race weight - 3750lbs (fully loaded GTS, weighed at the track)
895whp 1108wtq
**Yes, Nitrous Outlet kit is installed but has never been used**

We were really happy with the transmission conversion considering we were slightly winging it to get it done by the race and nobody had done it before. We have the car running and driving effortlessly and with the only codes being for trans related things that were no longer there. Factory speedometer, tachometer, trac control settings, and even reverse camera and lights all still function like stock! With an adapter plate, flex plate, custom trans mount, and custom shifter bezel for clearance we were in business!

The Thursday before Viper Nationals we were able to get some testing in at the local 1/8 mile track and had some really great results so we went into the weekend with high hopes!

Viper Nationals by Texas Speed Syndicate!
We were looking forward to getting in some good grudge runs with other top GenV builds but our minds were focused on getting the record!

We were able to reset the record on the first full 1/4 mile pass on the new setup! With some spin and myself hitting the rev limiter we knew we would improve on this time but unfortunately on the next pass we had the stub shaft decide pop out of the differential

After some celebrating and comparing with our short track times we realized the record pass was actually the SLOWEST PASS the car has made! We knew we had to get the diff sorted and give it another shot!

After replacing the stub shaft components and having a little fun on the streets, TX2K16 was already upon us!

We were swamped the entire week with customer builds/deliveries and running a booth at the event but knew Sunday was our opportunity to reset our own record! A HUGE head wind had us a little nervous but the car felt strong after a couple of short passes so we went for it!

After daily driving this car, aside from when it rains, I have to say that it is a complete blast! The power delivery and smooth transition made by the TH400 can't help but put a smile on your face whether driving, riding, or watching in car clips!
The next plan of action is to swap the 6 speed back in now with the big drag races out of the way, and see what kind of power the auto is robbing! From there we'll see in which combination we may go back to the track to further prove the various possibilities for the platform as well as our Mantic Triple Disc clutch option!
