I ordered a new Viper! Actually a little surprised I did. Just making this thread to track progress. Ordered it 2/23/2016 and received VIN today on 3/2/2016. Emailed our DRM to see if I will have it by May 9th for NVE2. Here is to the long wait, looking forward to getting behind the wheel!

Thanks, black center and red driver stripe. I go for classic colors over wild ones. Wanted matte black but I am too anal for a black car. Would have looked great with the Brass Monkey Wheels. Then I was going to do red with black acr stripes. Too much red for me. This has a little black and red and I can keep it clean.

I do have a question for replacing the exhaust. So reading on here, the cats can bubble paint or just get to hot. Has anyone ceramic coated their exhaust? I had Jet Hott do my header for my BMW R1200 GSA and they did a fantastic job. That reduces heat and in turn, possibly not warp paint/plastic. I really want to do a catless but my friend says that could lead to legal issues. Hi Flow exhaust? I want titanium for weight savings. Looking at Agency Power Catted or Catless. Any thoughts are appreciated. How can I get more HP without a supercharger or voiding the warranty? I am the dealer so I won't have "issues" from the dealership, lol. But FCA does require photos and sometimes send out inspectors for expensive warranty work.

Mine was 3 months from time of order to completion but really they built and inspected it in 3 weeks.

It'll be interesting. Using the D1 status is the build date and regular cars take a couple hours to put together but this is a little different. Lol. Thanks for the tip. Looking like a very Happy Memerial Day.

I stoked! As far as my stuff, I'm anal. Our body shop painted the hood on my Rubicon and they took about a week. More paint on it then the rest of the Jeep! Can't wait to start seeing photos. It took me a few changes to solidify the classic white black/red. Thank you, it'll be a great car.

Viper Concierge did call me to tell me my system will not be as up to date as their system. They are curious to see how closely they match up. As excited as I am, I know things are only an estimate. They sure are under promising so they can over deliver.

My father owns the store. I'm the GM. I ordered it for myself. I check it on my system. It will most likely take longer than end of May from what the concierge told me. They are interested in seeing if each system will correlate accurately. We have a saying, under promise, over deliver. I think they adopt that policy too.

Give me a call since you are a Dealer and I will give you an idea of some of the inconsistencies. Using Dealer Connect and some of the estimated dates is virtually never correct on a Viper. Be happy to explain why, but nothing new -- been that way since the 90s.

Yes they are, going to be one bad car. Just got off the phone with Lou Belanger and will get the header/pipes ordered here in a couple weeks for install upon delivery. Thanks Mark J for the recommendation. Calvo got me hooked up with the motor mounts; heat shield and plug wires will be ordered in a couple weeks when I get the header/pipes. Thanks for the tip on the Matt.


What else is a must have?

Bonus is I talked to my MOPAR Rep and he is going to cover the car under warranty regardless of the mods, as long as no TT or supercharger!

Likely due to the high demand for ACRs, as there was a shortage of wings for a short period earlier and cars were delayed a bit. Nice to know 2016 is keeping those suppliers hammered ,ha!

Yes, they called me but after it was actually on the truck. Because I bought it from Tomball/Viper Exchange, it was put on a truck almost immediately. They ship so many cars to the big three dealers that they constantly have trucks going to them. Your car actually rolled off before mine so I would image they are waiting on transportation.

I had a bit of a special pickup for my car. Some friends were down in OKC for the Hot Rod Power Tour and on the way up detoured over from I-135 to our store so I could run up to Wichita and have lunch with them. Some cool people from Houston came with them and even a TA from Viper Exchange. My boy in his 98' and another in his 15' GTR, a clean M4 and 427 Camaro and the old Hot Rod in the back.
