Looks like next saturday I am going to be installing a new oil swing arm and oil pan. Any tips or tricks to keep in mind ?

Assuming it's going into a Gen3 considering if you had a Gen4 it'd already be there. Did you just get the factory parts or order the conversion kit? There is some modding to use the Gen4 parts in a Gen3.

Some recommend changing the con rod bearings . Dan Lessor or Dan Craigin should be able to help you out .

Revisiting this post. Still don't know what you have. If you have just the factory parts then you have to cut and weld your old pickup tube to the new one. Really that's it. You can clean and reuse the old pan gasket. Also, be sure to OT over-torque the pan bolts, they will snap.

Honestly, I'm not sure. The description from parts rack was that it is the same that is used in the comp coupes and similar to the Gen 4/ ACR-x cars.

If you haven't put in new oil cooler lines do it when you have the pan off!!!! I put them on after and it was a pain. Got mine from Viper Specialty.

http://driveviper.com/forums/threads/805-2008-2010-torque-specs all in here, the back bolts are not the same as the rest. I also had to retap a few holes because they were so full of loctite

Oh, totally forgot about the comp coupe swingarm. I did some research and it looks like it'll bolt in without modding, sorry for the misinformation. I imaging the hole in the windage tray (bolted to the oil pan) might need to be opened up a little to aid in installation.
