Lowering Caps Installation Problem

My 2013 GTS is in the dealership for a front Sturt replacement. All the oil leaked out.

My 2013 GTS is in the dealership for a front Sturt replacement. All the oil leaked out. I had told the tech that I had lowering caps installed and that he would have to change them out to the new strut. I just stopped by the dealership and he had the car back together when I asked if he had any problem with changing the caps I got a puzzled look. I popped the hood and saw that he had forgot to swap out the cap. He looked at the old strut that was off the car and said he didn't think his machine would be able to do it because it was so small of a spring. He then took the old strut and walked off to check. When he returned he handed me the lowering cap and said his machine destroyed the old strut while removing the cap and that he wasn't going to take a chance of doing the same to the new strut. I had anther shop first install the caps over a year ago and I can't get ahold of them. How are other dealerships installing these as I believe I bought them from Woodhouse.
What's the price on the lowering caps?

Good it all worked out, I think I may have to adopt him, he always comes to the rescue.
