I concur with the comment above. I love the attitude Dave brings, and his knowledge is beyond compare. It is just the F bombs are too much forhere. It isn't that we are prudish but that there are some who do try to refrain from such terms.

There's been a number of times the Mod team has reached out to Dave, asking for him to follow forum rules. Including a few times he's been asked to edit his posts. Posts that the mods have had to go in and edit. Plus other requests from City to play by the forum rules like all the other forum users, and a previous temporary ban, as a cooling off period. There are posting issues that have gone beyond the small group who continually test each other.

Dave is clearly a touchstone for adversity. It's unfortunate since he's a tremendous font (or is it fount) of knowledge for early Viper Gens. Nonetheless, Dave's actions are not by accident. In my opinion he loves coming in and drawing negative attention. One of my biggest concerns is new members thinking that's how we behave around here and losing good people because of it. If henis going to change his behavior and his word choices, he would have by now. But I don't think it's going to happen.

I even once told him I respected his knowledge and suggested gentry being nice to people, as it would get him farther. I think I was called "ghey" for suggesting such. I would be just fine not to see him here again. I feel he comes not to contribute but to disrupt. That's my thought on the subject, at least.

For starters, all vulgarity when typed out gets autocorrected to ****** So you can cuss and swear all you want, it isn't getting through. Secondly, any tiffs are personal insults are deleted from threads, and parties warned or banned, temp or otherwise. It's my notice when people get away with crap like that for a while it manifests and gets out of control.

It basically comes down to, from what I see at the other forum, that they manage it with the approach if it would start a rumble in person, it's not tolerated. Personal attacks, not allowed. Swearing? Have at it, it's edited out automatically. There is no free speech on a forum. It's not a street corner, this is someones "house" that is created for everyone to enjoy. Want free speech? Start your own forum, that's basically the way it's looked at.

We have an indoor range that allows the rental of full auto firearms from Thompson to MP4. I've used them all but spend my time with a 1911 A1 and USP 40. These are my two carry sidearms. I practice outside the house with the bow. And I figured out the process for Rambo arrows. I just need to be willing to lose an arrow in the process.

I'm a first ballot hall of fame inductee for driving women to white hot rage. It would be a tad harder to catch an arrow off the Hoyt. It leaves the rest a smidgen under 300 ftps. I use carbon fiber arrows with a 100 grain field tip. If I am hunting it is a mechanical broadleaf with a 3 nch citing diameter.
