Anyone want to suggest the best tire for my use?
I live in a colder part of the world. So my summer days arent as hot as I would like. So traction is often an issue. So i want the best traction i can get.
I will NEVER drive in the rain.
I put on aprox 1000 miles a year on my viper. So tread life isnt that important as I am sure the tire will expire before I use up the tread.
I will never be at a track
Street use only
are the rear 345/30-19 the widest tire that can fit on the stock rims? will a 355 fit? anything wider?
Thanks

I just put pilot super sports on my car and I love them. I couldn't believe how well they hook.

The 2 above tires are your best options for daily driving.

I'm guessing from your username and that last sentence that you have a Gen 3 Viper and stock wheels for a 2004

I have 04 Gen3. I just got new tires from JohnB. He recommended the Pirelli P zero and in the gen v sizes 295/30-18 front and 355/30-19 on the rear. i've had them on for about a 1000 miles and love them. So yes the 355's fit no problem even with my car lowered 1 1/2".

Do i want pirelli "Pirelli PZero " or " Pirelli Pzero Corsa Asimmetrico/Direzionale 2 " .... those are the only 2 models with 355 in my city that can be purchased. no luck with the super sports in a 355.

If you are not tracking the car then the "plain" pzero (not corsa) is what you want. To get the VOA deal from pirelli you must contact them directly.
Charlotte Carpenter at charlotte.carpenter@Pirelli.com to order or call 248.552-7508.

Might want to join VOA first! The tire deal is for VOA members.

I will check out the price of the tires. As soon as ANYTHING ships to canada, the price of shipping becomes more then the item.

where is this pirelli deal? on their website?
The deal is outlined here: http://driveviper.com/pirelli/
Although that says that the deal expires December 31, 2015. There is a post on another webpage that says the deal is extended until June, 2016, specific date not specified.
( The club is doing itself a disservice by posting the closure date on the Tire Offer webpage as being last year. )

I guess Gen 5 ACR front tires are not included in the deal??? P295/25 ZR19.

Ahh, membership does have it's privileges ! No worry on the sizes, they actually help the car track even better and the 295 front gets rid of the push sometimes associated with the 275 at speed. 355 fits just fine on the rear.

Thanks Bill. Aren't the front tires offered in the deal 18's?
Bill Pemberton

Yes, keep in mind the deal is for cars that Pirelli is the OEM tire for ( and this equates to 2003 through 2016 with the 18/19 combination ) . With Kumho doing the ACR , they are not offering that in a 19 to customers.

Thanks and…….too bad for the ACR folks that want a street tire..sort of.

Pirelli Corsas do have a 295/30/19 ( Kumho is a 295/25/19 ) so maybe there is a possibility they can pass on a deal for the new ACRs? Will make a call ..........

Hey Bill, just curious if you have made contact with Pirelli on the 295/30/19 and 355/30/19 size as an alternate for the acr?
Thx!

Yes, but they can not do a additional special price as the tire was not designed for the Viper, though we know it is close to the right size -- was made for a Lambo setup. Still , you can get the rears at a nice discount and other places have the 19s. Be nice if someone gets a set to see if they fit , though common sense would make it appear they would?

Don't suppose there's any deals for us misfits with 17" rim?
Bill Pemberton

Get in touch with Luke ( ext4362 ) at the TireRack or John B. at PartsRack -- sure either one of them can get you a solid deal on 17s.

FYI - Pirelli tire deal has been extended. Corsa's for a short time more (6/30/16), PZERO's available until the end of the year. See home page. Pirelli VOA page is getting updated as well. Good news!

Hard to beat a deal like this. If you need tires, and aren't a VOA member yet, this is still a smokin' deal plus membership! I looked just now on the Partsrack website and there doesn't appear to be any tire packages available (I know that cannot be the case, though). $1,250 US for a set of anything is incredible, and these are new/Viper specific.
Anyone need a set of PS1 (ZP :( ) 18/19's to keep themselves on the road this year? 9/32" all the way around. Offers/Cheap + shipping or p/u?
PS Congrats (belated), Alex!

1250 shipping included is beyond crazy!!! Thanks to Pirelli and the VOA Officers!!

I ended up going the super sports. I found away to get them cheaper then the VOA special. Cost me $1900 bucks CAN out the door installed.
Its nice to have traction. its like an entirely new car.
